Quick follow-up to my previous post. My interview on Sunday at Toronto YYZ was right on time and took all of 15 minutes, email received the same evening indicating all was complete and my card should be received within 10 days. Overall process from initial submission (online) to complete was just shy of 8 weeks.

New application for myself and my wife on Aug 27th, and neither of us have heard anything - still "Pending Review". It seems like most people are conditionally approved in 6-7 weeks. I am a US citizen, wife is green card holding Canadian.

Finally got approval for my wife and I. Here are the details:

Hopefully you'll get "Conditionally Approved" soon. I called last week to follow up, and was told that the current processing time is "54 business days" (net of weekends and US and Canadian federal holidays). The next day, my renewal application was Conditionally Approved. The first available appointment in Seattle isn't until February!

Here is our timeline (Family of 4)
Citizenship: Canadian Application Submission Date: May 28, 2015 (Online through GOES) Conditional Approval Date: July 16, 2015 Scheduled Interview: October 25, 2015 Approval Date: October 25, 2015 (10 minutes after interview was finished, got all approval emails) Card Received: November 2, 2015 (Seemed to have come from Washington, DC) Interview Location: Calgary International Airport (YYC) Arrived about 15 minutes early and they called us in pretty much right away. Entire process for all 4 of us took maybe 15-20 minutes. Both border guards were extremely nice and friendly. They were great with my young kids and very tolerant of the questions they asked and took the time to answer them all. Overall, great experience. |
Received our Cards
Final stats:
Applications submitted: August 27th Conditional Approval: October 20th Interview Scheduled: October 27th Cards Received: November 2nd Self: US Citizen Spouse: Canadian Citizen w/ US Green Card Interview was about 10 minutes each for my wife and myself. When we arrived at Port Huron (many slots available), we talked jointly to the Canadian border official, then each spoke separately to the US CBP agent. Scan, photos, out. Getting conditional approval from US and Canadian officials is the longest part of the process. The rest is very fast moving and straight-forward. |
I sent my application in on Aug 7th,. they have charged my Credit Card a few weeks later, but I still haven't heard anything from them. Is there a number I can call or can I get any information for anywhere online? Thank you
