At YVR they told me that you can go standby for interviews. Just accept first available appointments and then go to the NEXUS office and wait as standby.

My timeline:
Applied 9/20.
Conditional approval received 11/6 (<7 weeks).
No interview slots were available in the Seattle/Vancouver area until 2015, but I kept checking back until I found an opening in Seattle on November 21.
I'll need to visit a Canadian NEXUS site for the iris scan. Do I need to wait for the card to arrive before visiting one of them? Or can I go as soon as I've received the approval notice following the interview?

Sounds like the general advice is to keep checking back, but I am worried that even if I cut my wait time in half it is still a long time.
I just got conditional approval. Today is December 4th and the next available date at Seattle Urban Enrollment Center is July 2nd????????? Are you kidding me????????
The shortest is at Blaine Enrollment Center and even that is 3/13.

How quickly do you need it? Maybe it's time for a mileage run?

For anyone interested, YYC Calgary now shows 2 locations for interviews with lots open from Jan 9/15 forward on the Calgary A location. Re-booked our YYG interview to there. Hope it will help some.
