You applied last year in July. This is your 2nd application?

I helped multiple family members with their applications. I was simplifying my statement and post. Even last July I was referring to another family member. I myself have had it since March 2017.

Conditionally Approved: April 27, 2018
Interview originally scheduled: August 4, 2018 (Seattle)
Interview rescheduled: June 7, 2018 (Blaine)

I received an email stating the Seattle Enrollment Center will no longer conduct interviews as of July 23rd and that I'd have to reschedule at another location.

Recently had my interview last Friday, so wanted to share my experience as a data point.

Date applied: April 4 or 5
Conditional approval: May 11
Interview: May 25
Approval: May 25 (received the email as I was leaving the facility)

During my conversation with the CBP agent, I was told that my GE status would be renewed automatically. I mentioned my GE renewal this summer and the agent said my NEXUS application would automatically take care of it. Glad to hear that bit of info, it saved me from a $100 renewal fee.

NEXUS membership includes Global Entry benefits (DHS Trusted Traveler Programs Comparison Chart).

You can not have active memberships in both NEXUS and Global Entry. Activation of one will deactivate the other.

Please refer to the following thread:

Thanks for the correction. I should have been more precise in my wording. My TTP dashboard now shows NEXUS instead of GE.

Looking to apply for my infant daughter (5 weeks old), and had a few questions. Hoping that we can do the interview when we are in YYZ, probably late July or August (we live in CVG now). Wife, I and toddler all have Nexus already. (note: Mods - if you think this should belong in Nexus info. thread, please feel free to move there).

Questions are:
  • Is the 20 business day processing time (so I guess, more like a month) fairly accurate? - I ask because when wife and I did our renewals last year, I believe it was at 50-60 days (and i think my wife's, for some reason, took even longer).
  • Anyone know if an infant would likely be faster, or slower then the general population (ask since i could see reasons why being an infant, and not necessarily having info. in the background check systems at all, etc. could mean a shorter or longer approval process).
  • I've already completed [most] of the application online, and it seems to accept birth certificate (which obviously doesn't have a photo) as both a citizenship and entry document. Her passport is processing, and will probably arrive early July, so if we want to add that to the application, we'd need to wait until then to actually submit it. Anyone know if there is a disadvantage to simply applying with a birth certificate, and then just providing the passport at the interview? Could this make the processing time longer? Or is it best to wait to be able to provide it in the application?
Appreciate any insight into this.

I was had my interview on my may 19, 2018. I was told I was approved but my status hasn't changed from conditionally approved on the website and no card yet in mail. Should I be concerned?

Call the interview location and inquire. Sounds like one of your interviewers might have forgotten to click the "save" button - a common issue reported in this forum.

I'm in the same situation. I also applied on April 29th and I'm still in "pending review" status as of today, June 8th. Twenty seven business days have passed since submission.

But rest assured, if you see the message “pending review” on TTP , they did receive your application into the queue. It just takes the CBSA a lot of time to work through their backlog.

There just isn’t any way to hurry this. Be patient and they will get to your applications eventually.

Update June 13:
I received notice of conditional approval of my Nexus application today via email. The application review took 31 business days.

I know people who took 2 months to get approved and one who took 7 months. No particular reason for each, and calling in won't help expedite it.
