Has anyone contacted their Senator(s) about GE renewal wait times? If so, was it helpful? I know mine has a "Help with Federal Agencies" section on his website

Mrs. Flaneurs finally received her conditional approval today. They did send the status change email and unfortunately interview is required with no appointments available. 207 days wait from pending to conditional approval. No weird travel countries, no address change, no new passport. Will likely do the interview on arrival although it hasn’t been explicitly offered to her yet. Good luck to everyone, hopefully the backlog is starting to get cleaned up.

Interview on Arrival is not an invite thing... AFAIK everyone is eligible. Just follow the signs.

Final data point update:
Good luck to those still waiting. My spouse waited 205 days for conditional approval on initial app, so I know how frustrating it can be. I was surprised and very pleased to get it all done in a month. |

It's really not an "interview" per se like adults. Same thing with 7 year old - except conditional first time took 5 days instead of 2. His interview took 90 seconds. |

our 9 yo's renewal took 2 days for conditional approval; interview (hers expired in 2018) took 2 minutes for fingerprints and photo (hate to say it, but obviously photos change in 5... or 7... years).

Renewal application filed 7/31/2019
Conditional approval received with interview required on 2/26/2020 220 days. Now to find an interview before the currently scheduled 6/22/2020 appointment at DFW. |
Mrs. 1120 applied for renewal and from application to new card in the mail took about ten days. The card came in the mail this week.
i just hope mine goes that smoothly later this year. |
Does when you renew affect the expiration date? IE if I renew and it is approved before my current membership expires, is the expiration any different than if I renew and it is approved after my current membership expires?

If you renew after expiration, you will not have TSA Pre nor Global Entry until final approval. |
