Spouse and I signed in at 1:20 PM, both out by 1:50 PM. Both of our original appointments were scheduled for mid-April. One walkin was waiting ahead of us and 2 appointments. A third appointment came in while we were waiting and was seen before us exactly at their appointment time. Actual interviews were 5 min or less.Tip: Checkin agent mentioned the Monday morning appointments almost always become available. So, check frequently in the middle of the night and over the weekend for cancellations.

JFK T4

2017-03-02, successful walkin at JFK. Took 90 minutes. Arrived at 13:15. And was done at 14:45

Was told "no walkins" but I persevered.

Thanks! May want to clarify on the entry on mine, "was told no walk-ins, by one agent, but another allowed me to."

How exactly did you persevere? Ask for a supervisor? Barricade the door? I figured once the officer told me no walk-ins that was it.

So, the bottom line is that there is no policy. There is no "we" and it does not pay to look at whether one station took a walk-in yesterday. Clearly it is what one Officer decides (s)he is prepared to do at that moment.

It is equally clear that CBP does not have a policy which requires walk-ins and does not punish Officers who conduct them (easy for CBP to track appointment date & time vs. when and where it is conducted).

My thought is to travel with the necessary paperwork (letter and ID's and any backup paperwork if you are someone with an "issue" in your past where you know there will be a question).

Try a station. Have a reason, engage the Officer and see if you can't make that Officer your ally in getting it done. Just because it does not work with Officer #1 does not mean it won't work the next day at the same place.

The other point well-taken is checking the schedule at the last second (night before). Sick kid, last minute work issue or whatever and slots open up after 5 PM the night before. If you are flexible, benefit from the folks who are not.

Had my appointment today and found that LNB has a sign saying they do not take walk-ins

Confirmed London will take a walk in if you're already in the US embassy here. But closing tomorrow so limited time only.

Hello everyone! How is the Washington, D.C. enrollment center with walk-ins? I live in Philadelphia, and would like to use the global entry card for a trip in a month. The earliest available time I can schedule in my region is all the way in Pittsburgh.

I see in the Wiki that someone had luck in Washington D.C. fairly recently (March 15). Since it's closer to me, I'd rather give that a shot as a walk-in.

It is worth a try walk - in Philadelphia first, nothing to lose since you live there. Also keep checking availability few times a day, I was able to move family member's there from 4 months to 2 weeks. Otherwise EWR seemed to have earlier options too.

Thank you for your advice. I went to the Philadelphia airport today around opening time. They were able to take me in at 11:15 AM. I was interviewed and approved within 20 minutes.

If we can add to the wiki, PHL 3/20/17. 10:30am, waited 45 minutes.

90 minutes (arrived 9am, seen 10:30am)

I was #2 on the waitlist. #1 arrived at 8am and we were both seen together (so his wait was 150 minutes). One agent said we had no chance of being seen. A different one let us in.
