Yes [0m] (2/17/2017 7:30am) - had an appointment for 9:45am that day, but I showed up right when they opened and it was no problem. I can't edit the Wiki. |
SFO - no walk in allowed though spouse who had appt
I read here that some were fortunate to piggyback with a spouse who received an earlier appt. at some locations.
SFO does not allow this as I've discovered this morning. Husband and I applied online at the same time last week. I received my conditional approval on Thursday (2/16) with next available appt on 8/28. Husband received his approval yesterday(Friday, 2/17) and, with luck of the stars, an appointment 12 hours later for 7:30am on the 18th! No deal for me to walk in and there were 18 walk ins already when we arrived. Additionally, the agent told my husband they would not have accepted the recent utility bill (showing proof of address) had the envelope been opened and for me to take note for my future appt! (we simply hadn't opened our mail yet for the week). It doesn't say that anywhere on their website, does it?? :( |

Note: It has been confirmed that there are six walk-in spots available twice a day: 7am & 3pm. |

reporting back from Fairbanks AK. They do not take walk ins. we arrived an hour ahead too to see if we can get it done early. Wasn't able to.
One thing was, they didn't even ask any questions, just went in, got fingerprinted, and just chatted about Fairbanks (cuz we were visiting) |
No on Super Bowl Sunday at around 2pm at JFK. Was told (clearly a lie) by the officer that they don't accept walk-ins at all, while boasting about how many people they see with appointments. Meanwhile apparently someone on this forum got a walk in just the day before. Unbelievable.

ORD morning walk-in?
Soliciting opinions on chances and strategies for a Friday morning walk-in at ORD. I see notes about the end-of-day likelihoods, but I can't find any morning-time experiences posted.
What time do they start interviews? Does getting there even earlier help? Thanks in advance! |

Earliest appointment I could get in the Los Angeles area when I applied in January was at the Long Beach center end of April. I had a business trip in DC and decided to try a walk in at the Reagan Enrollment Center. Went in at 7:30AM (2/22/17). It was almost empty and got in right away.
Despite it being an "interview," they didn't ask me any questions and just activated my enrollment and took my prints and picture. Friendly officers, they were chatting and laughing with other people they were interviewing. |

I've updated the wiki; however, I'd like to add the date and time to the datapoint.

Has anyone tried to walk in at London? It says appointment only but I wonder what'd happen if you were already at the embassy inside.

ATL - Tradeport Drive Location
Yes [28 min] Friday, 2/24/2017 Spouse and I signed in at 1:20 PM, both out by 1:50 PM. Both of our original appointments were scheduled for mid-April. One walkin was waiting ahead of us and 2 appointments. A third appointment came in while we were waiting and was seen before us exactly at their appointment time. Actual interviews were 5 min or less.Tip: Checkin agent mentioned the Monday morning appointments almost always become available. So, check frequently in the middle of the night and over the weekend for cancellations. |
