I made it to the galleries lounge and met up with Steve and Rachel who are heading directly to Cincinnati, and also atcodave who has a story of his own to tell on his travels today! They all had to scatter at around the same time and then it was over to the CCR for me and a coffee and an absolutely perfect bourbon old fashioned

Little gathering of fellow FlyerTalkers in the CCR with Daragh and LondonAndy at the bar. This is the first of three times myself and Andy’s paths will cross.
Great fun at the bar this afternoon, a newlywed couple at the far end are very gregarious, heading out for their deferred honeymoon to NYC, it’s been a fun afternoon but not great for trip report content :D A third old fashioned under the belt, time to stumble to the gate:D |

The first first course, the red lentil soup. Yes, vegetables! It was absolutely delicious and I would have that again and again. Accompanied by a half pour of the Chablis and the Sauvignon Blanc. Although my concept of half pour and the crews concept of half pour may differ slightly :D

Nice to meet you and your friends, not the venue we’d originally planned but that’s the way of the world I guess. Hope the weather is better in the big apple, it’s raining dogs and cats in Zurich, and maybe a few cows thrown in!

Crepe Suzette and a small glass of Sauternes for desert. The crepe were really good, especially considering where they were being served.

Two choices now, either a food coma or a wander to the back of the pane to say hi to the rest of the crew. And when I say wander, I mean waddle! And, there’s still the cheese and port course to go, and that’s before we get to the light bite menu before landing. They may roll me off this plane :D |
Well she’s definitely flying out tomorrow, however it’s a 5 and a half hour train journey with one or two changes. What could possibly go wrong!
