Ahh yes, good ole' BA. Two decades of declining standards.

I'm honestly surprised they're even able to sell and F seats these days, but I guess their J product is so bad people have to decide which is worse, overpaying for a 2-4-2 J coffin or overpaying for a halfway decent J seat at F prices with a Y cabin service.

It is comical how the western world just can't really do airlines outside of a handful of limited exceptions. Looking at what passes for a 'premium' experience on a US airline or BA is truly just embarrassing. I long for the day we see more EK and QR 5th freedom flights from Europe to the US, one can only hope.

An entertaining report nonetheless SFO777 and we're glad to see you survived the ordeal that is a BA product in 2020.

The OP said that he chose BA because it was the only departure that didn't require a 4am wake-up call. And that was despite knowing in advance exactly what to expect in terms of onboard service and comfort.

Personally, I'd have happily sacrificed a couple of hours in bed in return for a proper first class long-haul experience.

The 4am wake-up option was for Business Class. If it was LH or AF First, we would have been up at 2am.

I knew that this was gonna be good when I saw it had a separate post. If you had a 2am wakeup for LH/AF F, should have enjoyed a couple espresso martini's and stayed up!

LOL. I knew it would be good when it was quickly moved away from the BA forum...

Well spotted, but that was my foolish attempt to be a trader - clearly my glass ball predicting a V shaped recovery in air travel was overly correct

I was going to say, the most offensive thing in this thread is BA’s apparent contempt towards its premium customers. Instead of the idiotic ‘enjoy your menu’ phrase they should just place a middle finger emoji.

Absolute nonsense.

Still, another opportunity to throw a further LOL in there.

SFO777 is a superstar and he isn’t biased towards any airline so is a great source of info!

Awesome trip report SFO777. I am not sure what is more amusing on this thread, the BA apologists or the ridiculous service BA calls First.

By the third pic of Split's decidedly uninteresting airport terminal, I was begging for him to have taken the alternative 4am departure. All the faux shock-horrorr-lols is crying out for some therapy or a 16 year's old diary.
Right. One too many LOLs. Perhaps he just stumbled upon the usage and was eager to use it

Where else should a trip report go, if not in the Trip Reports forum?

Is it a trip report?

It seems to me that it is a description of the food and drink currently provided on two BA flights.

You seem to be suggesting that all discussion of an airline’s inflight service should happen in the Trip Reports forum and not in the airline’s forum. I disagree.
