Great report that exposes the sad truth about the current BA F product (and I understand the grief reaction from those who might be in denial).
The one thing that BA continues to have going for it is generally outstanding cabin crew (you mentioned the CSM on the SPU-LHR). I hope we can retain them.

Well written SFO777 - you seem to have stirred up some feathers over their beloved British Airways.
What an appalling display of disgusting service on British Airlines - for a long haul in a premium cabin - well if the airline goes belly up - i wont be shedding a tear,
I stopped flying British Airways - which have been referred to by me as Bloody Awful since the 70's.
The long haul VC10 service was great - I have done Australia to the UK several times that way, but the modern 747 services was dreadful and not much has changed since.
Maybe you should have done the 4am wake up call and had a wonderful trip home on AF or LH

This...
This is an actual trip report...
Dubrovnik and Croatia's Spectacular Dalmatian Coast via Lufthansa First Class
Is it a trip report?
It seems to me that it is a description of the food and drink currently provided on two BA flights.
You seem to be suggesting that all discussion of an airline’s inflight service should happen in the Trip Reports forum and not in the airline’s forum. I disagree.

Taking a moment to remind everyone of FlyerTalk rules 12.1 and 12.2:
12.1: Friendly and welcoming...
12.2 : Avoid getting personal...
The conversation that started (and we've ended) was both out of line and personal. Please keep your mind on these rules as you participate in the FT community.
Thank you,

And if you think BA fanboys are sensitive, QF apologists give BA lovers a run for the money.

I believe that nancypants was referring to my characterization after a long day with QF domestic J a couple of years ago.

Worry not- the BA board is so dead now you are still on the first page..!!
But seriously, under normal circumstances I fly BA F regularly and I like the hard product and the airline fine but I just can’t see any sense in denying that the current catering offering is absolute trash and that other airlines have shown it can obviously be done better and that Covid justifications don’t cut it as an excuse.
