Well, the response I received from customer support was personalized and incredibly quick. I sent in a query and got a reply in less than a half hour! ^

Here's what they had to say about accessing aa.com-purchased itineraries (in addition to what is in the FAQ, emphasis mine):

Our experience has been that AA.com bookings usually won't show up, frankly, I am surpised other people were able to see AA.com PNR's at all as it has been our experience during testing that this would not be the case. Maybe they were in some way different.

Thank you for your compliment, we have been trying hard to put together a service that would be a benefit to the community in ways the other makeshift tools out there couldn't. If you wish, you may pass this info along to the forums on FT, yes we do read them, and will always take good sugestions under advisement.

If you need further assistance please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you,
The ExpertFlyer.com Team

The domain in question is registered to a private mailbox in a UPS Store in Patchogue, NY :D

This seams like quite a unique tool... Does it show detailed information about seatmaps and so on for other non american airlines like, Emirates (EK), Scandinavian (SK) or is it limited to american airlines?

Hey, I'm not looking to "blow anyone's cover"-- I'd rather not know and continue to have access to the info-- so-- IMHO, let's drop that portion of the discussion for the good of all. This really is too good to be true, I hope it sticks around. It's an incredible tool.

I just subscribed, but how come I don't see any X or R or C fare codes - they don't even show up on the fare code list????

I'm looking at flights that I know have X availability.....

I'm assuming that this site, since able to pull up AA.com PNRs, is on SABRE. However, does anyone know if it can show private buckets for other Oneworld partners? How about Star carriers as well?

On a side note, someone mentioned that they were unable to pull up PNRs booked via their corporate travel department. This is because when PNRs are booked by travel agencies, they are secured to that agency. So I would be very surprised if anyone is able to display their PNR booked via their corporate travel dept unless their dept contacted the airline directly.

If I input "X" class, I am seeing an "X0" for the flight I was checking.

BTW, All, on the web page available to anyone, subscriber or non-subscriber, is a contact address, assuming that tells you anything (other than they have incorporated, have a physical address, and have taken the months and effort to invest in developing this site, which wasn't an overnight task):

Expert Travel Services, LLC.
414 West Sunrise Hwy, #311
Patchogue, NY 11772

And Morgensen, yes, I can see the data and seat availability for SK, EK, SN Brussels, etc. etc. Doesn't eman I can see exactly what YOU want, but... and it does have a five day subscription return policy.

I was part of the beta test group too. When I was testing it, it wasn't able to pull up BA PNR's using their Amadeus locator - I don't know if this has been fixed in the release version. It didn't seem to be able to show BA's Z, U, P and X (award buckets) either. It was able to bring up BA seatmap's however.

Unfortunately as someone else already pointed out, this is the address of a P.O. box at a UPS Store. Go to www.ups.com and type in the address; you get back

THE UPS STORE
414 W SUNRISE HWY
PATCHOGUE, NY 11772
631-289-5370

(BTW there is a slight chance that Expert Travel Services happens to share a building with a UPS Store, but I'd say that's much less likely than the more obvious explanation.)

How Far Back Will This Go

The tool sounds intersting enough just to check class availability, etc... I'll definitely be signing up. Can you pull up old PNR's on completed travel....like from months or even years ago? That would really be neat!

I believe PNR's get re-used, and expire with 24hrs of completion of travel. If there are remaining flights on the coupon, most airlines can pull up the details via the ticket number.

jeffreyt Jan 8, 2005 1:12 pm

Is this limited to AA PNR's and availability, fare classes, etc. or all airlines?

I tried this, and it didn't work for me, on a trip that terminated just last week.

Whoa. Scary.
Deal-breaker.
(for me at least. YMMV i guess.)

To me it does not imply a connection; rather, it provides a link to find out the most/least desirable seats.
