How many cities have multiple airports with commercial scheduled service within the city:

I can think of a few:
Chicago: ORD, MDW (and until a few years back, CGX)
New York: LGA, DCA
Berlin: TXL, THF (I think)
Washington DC has two airports, but both are in Virginia, so it wouldn't count.
Are there other cities with multiple airports? (Or even airports actually within a city proper, for that matter...)

Not sure why you wouldnt count Washington. Although one of the Washington airports is DCA, which shouldnt be in New York. I would actually count DCA, IAD and BWI as greater Washington. For New York I would count LGA, JFK and EWR. Counting White Plains or ISP is also possible for metro New York. Houston and Dallas both have two. If you count metro areas so do San Francisco and LA. London has 2 or 3 depending on how you count. Shanghai has 2 if I recall correctly. Quite a few really.

Berlin has SXF as well as TXL and THF.

London has LHR, LGW, LCY, LTN and STN, although only LHR and LCY are within the boundaries of Greater London.

Glasgow has GLA and PIK (actually neither are in Glasgow - Abbotsinch is in Renfrewshire and Prestwick in Ayrshire... I'll stop putting these observations now, it could get tedious.)

Paris has CDG and ORY (and, according to FR, BVA).

Milan has LIN and MXP (and, according to FR, BGY).

Rome has FCO and CIA.

Moscow has SVO, DME and more I can't remember.

Belfast has BHD and BFS.

Gothenburg has GOT and GSE.

Bucharest has OTP and BBU.

Stockholm has ARN and BMA (and, according to FR, NYO and VST).

Tokyo has NRT and HND.

There are many more besides...

London has three: Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, one cannot count Stansted although they name it London Airport too.

Paris has three: Charles de GAulle, Orly, Le Bourget

Milan has two: Malpensa and Linate

Buenos Aires has two, EZE and AEP.

Osaka has Kansai and Itami

If you are not counting Stansted you can't count Gatwick either. Both are well outside London's boundaries (Gatwick in West Sussex, Stansted in Essex). Only LHR and LCY are inside London. But so many cities have airports outside the political city boundary.

Paris Le Bourget, IIRC, has no commercial air services any longer.

It's amazing that everyone forgot L.A., which has numerous airports amongst the city limits. LAX, BUR, SNA, LGB, (ONT?). Of course, one can argue that many of these airports are very far away from downtown L.A. but L.A. is a very spaced out place.

Detroit has 2, although I think city no longer offers commercial service.

Delta and the Detroit mayor were trying to get 'essential service' US government grants for the Detroit City Airport because there is currently 'no air service to Detroit'. DTW is operated by Wayne County so there may be a turf war going on. Detroit is pretty much only in there as 'the name of the nearest big city'. At least SFO is actually controlled by San Francisco (even though it resides far out of the city)

Since I live in Houston, I have to tell you that we have three airports with commercial service within Houston City Limits: IAH, HOU and EFD [Even though IAH is in a disjointed part of the city, it is on City of Houston land.]

Plus, we actually have scheduled air service on Continental Express between EFD and IAH.

Most of the above U.S. examples don't have two airports in the same CITY, with the exception of JFK/LGA & ORD/MDW.

When did New York annex DCA? Or can I now get to Manhattan on Metro ?

Toronto - YYZ, YTZ and YKZ (although I think the only scheduled service left out of YTZ is to YOW on AC Jazz, and from YKZ is to YOW and YSB on Bearskin Airlines)

Technically, both YYZ and YKZ are outside of city limits.
