I had one set up and it triggered last week.

Expertflyer is down again. This time I sent an email! Any idea when it will be back up?

inlanikai Jun 1, 2011 7:35 am

It is working fine for me. No problem.

It's working again... must have only been down for an hour at most. (No response to my email reporting the outage though...)

Hi, we actually just replied to your email. We didn't respond before as we were busy performing a site update, please be patient and give us a chance to respond, thank you for your understanding.

KLM Awards and Upgrades

We have just added the following Award and Upgrade classes to ExpertFlyer for KLM:
  • O - Business - Classic Award & Upgrade
  • C - Business - Flex Award for Elites
  • B - Economy - Flex Award

We do not have access to the Economy Classic award, however we wanted to at least make the ones we do have available via our Award & Upgrade search tool. Please email us if you have any questions.

You can only select the airlines that are on the list for the Award & Upgrade search tool. If an airline isn't on the list, we don't have the award and upgrade inventory for that airline.

On the first page of this thread your post (#7) indicated that support for Kingfisher (IT) was added back in 2009. I have not read all the remaining pages, but could it be that the support was removed at a later date? Thanks.

The most up to date information about the airlines ExpertFlyer supports for Awards and Upgrades is on our website here: http://www.expertflyer.com/sessionlessClassList.do

Today we have released several new features that many of our subscribers have asked for:

Booking Class Search*
  • Along with Fare Rules and Routing Rules, the Fare Information results page now has a Booking Class look-up tool.
  • This will allow you to determine the required booking classes for the fare and any specific exceptions.
  • You can also specify a secondary airline to show booking class information for segments flown by carriers other than the fare owner.

Note that this feature allows one to easily look into which classes YUP fares are supposed to book into (for DL it is normally D or P). Moreover for fares which are marked as 'UP' by EF you may double check to ensure the fare is in fact instant upgrade - some fares include 'UP' element in fare basis but are not 'instant upgrade fares'.

Create Flight Alert ?

I recently signed up for the Premium version of EF and I have a ? re: Create Flt Alert. When I search for Award seats I use +-3 days. This way I see 7 days because I'm flexible on my dates. If I see no seats for those 7 days I'll create a flt. alert. My ? is: Do I have to do a separate alert for each of the 7 days or can I do just one?

I read the FAQ section and did not find this addressed.

TIA

A separate one for each day.

Thanks. I was afraid you'd say that. :) I'll use up my 30 alerts pretty soon.

How to generate farecompare yup search on EF?

I am wondering if there is any quick and easy way to search for yup fares (the way farecompare can) on EF? Often fare basis vary, so putting one fare basis codebwon't do it. Are there other ways to do this?
