Just wanted to update. I called back and the seats were available this time, so I'm off the AKL in JAN :)

The BA website also showed the flight as available the following day.

The KVS Tool Rocks!

In any case, I'll try installing on another laptop to see if this one is causing a problem, due to its' configuration.

Still waiting for a *new* code - why do we have to wait for new codes to be manually processed, when we already have been issued codes??

Why can't we simply use the existing ones??

Your Replacement code has now been rushed.

Registration Codes are system-specific and can only be used on the machine, for which they were issued.

30 Oct of what year and in which context (e.g. Method)?

BA6501 Oct 2, 2010 3:03 am

30 Oct 2010, Sabre FS. Looking for LHR-BEY, BEY-FRA-GRU, GRU-EZE and many other destinations, nothing works. Error message is The departure date is out of range / availability engine error.

Use the Sabre/GTC method...

But why should I?

It's an issue with the [Availability/FS] engine on certain routes, when the departure time is not entered. You need to either specify a value in the [Time:] field, or use a different Method (as gleff had already mentioned).

Same-day Star Alliance Upgrade/Award availability?

How come I can't get Awards/Upgrade info for same-day (today, 10/5) for the SNT: Awards/Star Alliance? I don't see a "Time:" option to change for later times today?

I get a Data Source error telling me I can only view from 330 days until boarding until the day of boarding. Thanks in advance!

The [Awards/Star Alliance] engine operates using a different time zone, where it is already 06 Oct 2010, so it is rejecting your attempts to check availability for "yesterday"...

Does the tool help me check on what days & routes SQ offers saver awards in J/F? Doing it on the KrisFlyer site and clicking day by day (and then repeating it on numerous routes) is becoming a pain...

Sabre Availability/GTC Data Source Error

It sure does, and you can use the dedicated Next (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...arrow_down.gif) / Previous (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...i-arrow_up.gif) Day buttons or keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + PgDown/PgUp) to quickly check availability across various dates in 1 click/keystroke:

If you're looking for 77W/A380 awards then you're not going to get a lot of useful information since those awards aren't generally available to partners and that's what the ANA site - which is what KVS pulls - will show.

Also, if you want to easily search multiple days more easily for *A or OW awards the AwardNexus site is much more user-friendly and free.

Actually, the KVS Tool Beta is now underway for dedicated 3-tier SQ awards functionality, which will include the SQ KF members-only awards (such as the 77W/380 awards mentioned above).

The sign-up link is located on the Tool's homepage.

That would be great, because as a KF member I don't redeem any *A awards but only burn miles on SQ. Being able to find saver awards more easily than through the SQ website would be extremely useful. :)

Is it typical to wait for more than 30 minutes for the registration email as I thought a temporary code was provided instantaneously?

Temporary Registration Codes are, indeed, issued instantly -- have you checked your Junk folder?

A copy has now been also forwarded to an alternative e-mail address you have provided.

Yes, checked the junk folder and sent through multiple alternative emails. Received the email into one of those accounts, so now up and running. For some reason it didn't go to my main live mail account or hotmail.

LA Awards: GIG-SCL

Hello,

I've been shopping around numerous places trying to find an answer to my question/problem.

Although the KVS tool is showing Y availability in early August of next year for the GIG-GRU-SCL flights, it isn't showing any C availability. In fact, it would appear that one of the direct flights is actually not operated with a J cabin (the A320 flight).

It is returning award availability in Y, but when I try and book it through AA, it isn't showing up in their inventory. This is a part of an RTW mileage ticket, which I would really like to include GIG, and not GRU. Unfortunately, I have not been left with much of a choice!

Can you think of any reason why the GIG-SCL availability is not showing up in AA's system?

Furthermore, any idea why the newly announced (but already loaded) GIG-SCL nonstop isn't showing up?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Cameron

That's correct -- there is no C cabin on those A320 flights:

No, but we can think of tens of reasons why an agent would claim that they can't book it.

Version 5.7.9 SkyTeam Award Info problem?

I just installed 5.7.9 and seem to have lost the award mileage that used to appear when checking the Info box on the Awards/Upgrades tab for SkyTeam awards. The segment time (Dur) appears instead.

There aren't any, but you are welcome to take advantage of the annual membership option, which includes 2 complimentary months.

You just need to set the [Airline:] option to DL for this info to show.

New problem?

I'm trying to do a *A awards search (ANA method) for FLL (Fort Lauderdale - KFLL) but the system is retrieving responses for LYS (Lyon - LFLL)!

Never run into this before.

Anyone else have similar problems?

It has confirmed to be a bug, which will be resolved in the next release.

Rest assured, the actual results displayed are, in fact, for the requested location (FLL) and not LYS.

All KVS Tool Methods, including [Awards/StarAlliance], continue to function normally.

Are you running the KVS Tool on a Mac/Linux system?

It looks to me like the *A search is not showing any award seats for flights within 6 days, but works fine for anything at least 7 days out.

JohnDP

"FS" means first class. "YS" means economy. A "+" sign means reward seat is available in that class and "-" means it's not.

Because the application is accessing the flightstats.com website using your credentials. Apparently it uses some master credentials on the iPhone version.
