DL does not operate every day. On the days that it does operate, single connection results will be shown for PIT-PSA, followed by double connection options, as there are only few single connection routings.

PIT-VIE has plenty of singe connection options, so there is no need to connect twice.

I searched this thread and found that my question was asked before, but no one answered.

So I just signed up for the Platinum membership for 2 months ($15), and want to upgrade to Diamond ($20), is there anyway for me to convert it to Diamond with $5? Or I have to purchase another 2 months of Diamond, and convert the $15 to 1.5 months of Diamond membership (for a total of 3.5 months for $35).

I do not see an option anywhere to convert my Platinum membership. I'd be pretty disappointing if I can't since the Q&A for upgrading was on the same page as contributions.

CI Business Class Availability
 

Is there a problem with the tool displaying CI Business Class availability? The Awards/Skyteam method never shows any CI availability, and the Availability/FS method only shows X class awards for Economy but never O class for Business.

I shuttle between Jakarta-Amsterdam regularly, I wanted to try KVS tool but do they have something like 1 month trial in it? after downloading I don't think so...

KVS seems like an interesting program. I was wondering whether the KVS program can search for # of slots available for upgrades with CI flights. For example, I am flying from TPE to YVR on sept 1. Therefore, I bought an economy ticket and try to upgrade with my mileage but been put on a wait-list. Will this program show me the # people on wait-list or # of seats available for upgrade?

EDIT: Is there a trial coupon code or something ???

I have a question, in a flight (GA, if that matters)
- assuming that Y class is 4 classes higher/more expensive than N class
- assume flight is full
- someone on N class or any class lower than Y decided to refund his ticket
- will his seat be sold by the airline at his purchase class (N) OR
- will his seat be sold at Y class (most expensive) ???

I don't think you can consider this in isolation to everything else going on with that flight or even other related flights. For example, what do you mean by 'full'? Perhaps it's exactly full or perhaps it's oversold in certain cabin. Revenue management is a complex dark art.

The seat will go back into inventory management system and its magic algorithm with decide. E.g. if before canceling flight looked like...

Y0 B0 H0 K0 N0 Q0

Then you cancel your N ticket, the resulting availability could be anything...

Y0 B0 H0 K0 N0 Q0 (flight was oversold, and computer decided not to release new seat)
Y1 B0 H0 K0 N0 Q0 (Computer released it to full fare only)
Y1 B1 H1 K0 N0 Q0 (Computer released it to "flexible" fares only)
Y1 B1 H1 K1 N1 Q1 (Computer released it to any fare class)

What the computer does will depend on how long it is to flight time, predicted loads, etc. Also whether you could purchase a new N fare will depend on advance purchase rules (e.g. if 7 day advance purchase required, and flight is tomorrow, then even if N1 is offered, you won't be able to buy a new ticked for it -- but may be able to move an existing N ticket from a different flight on to it).

I have personal experience of almost all of the above scenarios (though on a business class ticket where it could be sold as either full fare J or discounted).

KVS (Method Availability/FS) not showing two stop connections

I have an issue with finding availability for a flight.

When querying as below, the tool does not show me any two-stop connection. I know there is availability but it does not show up.

Please clear MSIE Cookies and restart the KVS Tool.

There are plenty of single-connect options on that route, so there is no logical reason for the Engine to build unnecessary connections.

If a particular routing is desired, you can use the [Via] option or search segment-by-segment.

How accurate is KVS Tool Mobile Companion
Compared to EF ? Right now KVS shows the seat map completely full on my flight but EF shows half full. I'm I missing something ?

CX Awards - What Does AA See?
 

Hoping to book an F or C award on CX from LAX-HKG in the future. There are several methods of seeing award availability on KVS, with Awards JL supposedly being the best. But I will be using AAdvantage miles to book the award. Which of the various methods is most likely to show up on AA's res system when I call them to reserve? I don't want to get into an argument about what JL or other systems show. If Awards-OneWorld shows availability in the class I want, is it pretty much assured that AA agents will see that same availability? From what res system does Awards-OneWorld drive?

Regarding logical reason: All but one of the single-connect options have very long layover times of 4h+. There is only one option with an ok layover time but that does not fit my travel time needs.

Regarding the [Via] option: I can only enter one connection point, so that does not help me to search for two stop connections.

Is there a way to force KVS to build more connections?
Can I enter more than one connection point in the [Via] option?

There is never a guarantee that what one airline sees as available award space will exactly match what another sees. However in my experience what AA agents can see has always matched what JL shows for CX awards. Most others have reported similar results. One that you certainly can not rely on is CX's own website that will show better availability for their own asiamiles members than what is made available to OneWorld partners.

AA appears to be using non-standard seat blocking indicators in the C Cabin -- please use the [Enhanced Seat Map] option in the main KVS Tool application:

As noted in the KVS Tool User Guide at http://Help.KVSTool.com/#CX:If [Awards/JL-OneWorld] shows Award Seats available, then they can, most definitely, be booked via AADV.

You can force 2-conection options by specifying the departure time (e.g. 15:00) and/or Carrier:

I notice that KVS only display the first 10-12 records of the result. For busy route which has more than 12 flights a day, how do I see the next result (after the 10-12 records)

I have no connection problem, I am just asking why it works so bad, very long response or no response as the image shows. Can you answer about the POS, RU ? Thanks
