I had to do this for some UA 3XXX rescue flights that weren't immediately available in Flighty. The flight was added a few days later and I was able to add it to my past flights.

Thank you I hadn’t spotted that. Submitted so hopefully will be there in a few days like you say.

Hey flighty team, any update on flightradar24 integration? I know there are some complicated workarounds, but is there any plan to import past flight history from the CSV export the FR24 generates?

I loved the flighty app when I tried it and subscribed to it for a few months, but the ability to not import previous flights made me unsubscribe. Would definitely come back if this is implemented.

Care to explain in more detail? The ability to import previous flights has always been there - from Tripit, or manually. You can import trips from as far back as 2006. Unlike App In the Air, Flighty software has to have the exact flight in their system for you to add it; so any pre-2006 trips are not possible at the moment (unless you change the year), or some occasional ones post-2006 (trips where I have the exact dates, flight #s, routes, airlines, etc - but where Flighty doesn't have records of). They are looking into adding complete manual importation in a future update, from what I hear.

I think the OP’s intent is pretty clear — if you have all your flight data on FR24 it doesn’t help if the only option to import from is TripIt. Plus not everyone has the patience to manually input all their flights

Personally I’d love to be able to export my data from Flighty so I can upload to FR24

Yes, correct, thank you. I do not use Tripit, all my flights are logged in FR24. There are about 800-900 flights there so not really planning on manually entering each one into Flighty.

Of course, Flighty is a great app for things like delays/turnarounds/gate changes for flights that you are currently on, but it also serves as a flight logger. It is the flight logger part that I cannot really use as all (most?) of my flights from the past are logged on FR24 rather than on Tripit.

I know that European airlines aren't Flighty's main focus, but I have been less impressed than usual on trips with IB, SK and OS in recent weeks. Some of these involved wet-lease planes and regional subsidiaries, but up-to-date information was available in all cases on the airlines' apps and websites and in most cases on airport websites.

App in the Air is shutting down imminently. I’m sure there are many of us that will inevitably switch over to Flighty. Can you guys integrate the import of their .txt export file to allow existing users to easily transfer over to Flighty?

With App in the Air closing down, can Flighty somewhat shamelessly copy the formatting of their map? It's not perfect, but it works so much better than the Flighty line format.

Was thinking the same, that is one feature that is/was so much nicer in App in the Air.

Agreed - also from App in the Air and two things I miss are the map designs (and the much smaller / sleeker "lines" between flight routes) and the ability to view more stats (beyond top 8). Hoping these things can be added, as apart from that I'm enjoying the app!
