There doesn't seem to be a way (unless I'm just dense) of defaulting to gmail's web interface opening in the "old version"

Maybe accessing Gmail via a bookmark pointing to : https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=1 instead of normally accessing it?

Good riddance to the Delicious Bookmarks extension

I started using the official Delicious Bookmarks extension yesterday. This is the one put out by Del.icio.us (never used this particular one on previous FFes). After one day of use, into the trash heap of 'useful extensions' it goes. Good riddance.

It cleared my cookies too many times in just 24 hours, and in doing I've been logged out of sites like these way too many times in just one day. Even after logging in and saying remember me. On top of that, it has somehow managed to mess with FF's 'remember this username and password' function for certain websites. This site not included. FF now does not now populate the login screen.

This is somehow related to using the TOR button. When I switch on or off TOR, I get a popup message from del.icio.us. I'd much sooner keep TOR than del.icio.us. In just 24 hours of use, way too much of a hassle.

Well if you are on RedHat Linux - forget it.

I thought I'd never say it, but so far FF3 is a pile of poo on Linux (well RHEL anyway) and won't run. It fails trying to load libpangocairo.

Looking at the Mozilla forums, even getting a new version of Pango won't help

Same on Ubuntu 8.04. However, it doesn't look the same as the Windows version.

I beginning to think I'm going to downgrade, despite the speed.

I can no longer click on any of the formatting buttons within the "Compose Post" or "Reply to Thread" windows. Well, I can click on them, but nothing happens.

I've also lost the "Thread Tools" drop-down pick-list that is at the top of a thread when viewing it. While that one is probably not a huge one for most folks, it makes doing moderating housekeeping stuff much more difficult.

Works fine for me. Any extensions installed?

I'm not having either of the aforementioned problems. What extensions and add-ons do you have installed?

I had Customize Google, but thinking it the most likely candidate, I disabled it with no change. I guess I need to do the one-by-one thing.

What's weird, though, is that this started today.

I suppose I should probably try re-booting first.

I love the ability of FF to do extensions, but it certainly makes diagnostics difficult sometimes.

I much prefer the delicious complete extension, but it hasn't been upgraded, and I can't get it to work in FF3.

I agree that a better delicious extension is sorely needed -- preferably one that can work with multiple accounts easily.

That one I tried caused so many disruptions to normal usage habits it was hard to believe. There are still some settings in messed with that I have to restore. Never again with that one.
