I'm up and running. Foxmarks is what I've been using for bookmark synching and the latest build from the development site works with FF3 - it's not available via the FF update process, nor on addons.mozilla.org, but follow the link to the developer's page and download the latest.

Also up and running, page-to-page transition is noticably quicker. More importantly, the single most important add-on, Ad_Block Plus is functioning as well ^

Quite nice.
I set up the browser to open nine tabs at once with the desired sites to come up. [Under tools > options > homepage place a | (i.e., the vertical bar) between each of the homepages you want opening up as a tab when launching it.] It works better than I anticipated now.

Firefox 3 is working out to be a great release. Totally re-engineered, MUCH better with memory management (thankfully - FF2 was stalling my computer sometimes) and some great new features, especially the bookmarks!
It usually takes a few months before all the add-on developers get their act together, but it'll be worth it in the end!
Go open source, go!!!

Wow, this is truly an incredible improvement in speed and stability on my MacBook Pro! Already got my plugins installed! Greasemonkey is real handy 'round this forum!
Edit: though digichat still refuses to work! Ah well, nothing's perfect!
