I tried the technique mentioned upstream, and Firefox would no longer start at all and I had to re-start in SafeMode and go back to its defaults.
But, my oh my, is this ever faster!

Agree with all here who say FF3.0 if fast
Anyone got an idea how to turn off the pesky autocomplete feature in the address bar.. that shows a drop down list of web addresses from your bookmarks folder as you start to type..

type browser.urlbar.maxRichResults into the filter window and double click the preference name. Change the setting from 12 to 0.
type browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped and double click the preference name to change to "true"

I had the version 3 beta and the finished product is smoother and faster for me then the beta, I love it. I also disabled the auto complete with that method and it worked just fine.
I also used what is on this page to get rid of the dropdown on the address bar and the button for the dropdown since I never use it.

and a couple of add-on's not being compatible (but they are minor ones and i'm sure updated versions will be out soon)

FF3 seems to be really fast. I had an early beta installed but did not really use it until the real one came out yesterday.
any one seeing page load errors?
I usually get those when I am visiting a website for the first time in FF3 and a refresh will fix it, but it is annoying.
once a site opens up and you sign in you get another page load error and another refresh will fix it. I don't have any connectivity problems as IE seems to be working fine.

^ to the Mozilla team for a great release!
For all of the Mac users here - I just came across this extension that allows you to view PDFs inline in FF3. Very convenient!
