This is a potential solution... just not a good one.

To those using Lastpass, you can also activate two factor authentication via Google Authenticator. That should give you an additional layer of security besides the Lastpass Master Password.

I work in infosec.
If you don't want to pay for last pass, or are especially paranoid about putting the (encrypted) password DB in the cloud, I recommend KeePass - it's open source, and you can store the password DB locally:

Also, be sure to use a password, not a keyfile - keyfiles are not 5th amendment protected.

The nice thing about KeePass is that, being widely used and open source, there are so many different apps that can access it, so you're able to look around to find the one whose UI you like best.

Looking at the linked KeePass website, The apps for iOS and other non-Windows or Linux platforms are all from third parties. I would think that might present challenges for compatibility and synchronization, but since I'm not a KeePass user I'll have to defer to someone who can speak to that with authority.

I have KeePass but for now, using an old version of 1Password.
Migration is suppose to be easy, just export CSV file out of 1P and import into KP.
But the syncing between desktop and mobile is kind of clumsy, you have to connect through iTunes.
Unless MiniKeyPass app on iOS supports Dropbox or something.
