Coincidentally, I'll be in Sweden from July 2 to August 2. No need to buy a local SIM this summer. I like how things work out. :)

OMG. Thank you! I'll be UK and FR 7/10-8/8. This is AWESOME. |
Now if they'll just bring that to Japan and Hong Kong. :D
|
Bring 3G speeds forever instead for free
|
Is it unlimited?
Hmm anyone know their roaming partners in Greece? Never mind, looked it up, it's Cosmote, which is suppose to have the best network. |

Anyone try putting the Simple Choice SIM from their primary device into another device?
I'm thinking of putting it in my iPad Air 2, since it has a bigger battery, to be the hotspot for my phone. Of course I won't be able to text or phone but for maximal use of that LTE data ... |
I was wondering also about iPad. Thinking of adding one to my account and would be awesome to have that unlimited data will traveling in Uk
|
I've read that tethering will not be allowed, but I'm not really sure how they will police that.

I am under contract with ATT but was going to sign up for simple choice with T-Mobile using an unlocked iPhone. I assume I can do a no contract plan since I have my own device and then cancel whenever I please?

You can. But I think you have to have service for 30 days before you can take it out of the country? I remember singing like that
I'm sitting here kind of stewing about this. Can't find any reference to this waiting period online. Why would they use the incentive of free Europe data this summer to attract customers if they were going to make you wait for it. Makes no sense. Can anyone provide experience on this? |

Geez. Are you serious? That basically ruins this for me. I need to call and ask.

A couple of years ago my friend activated an iPad sim on postpaid and gave it to his mother who was going to europe. It worked fine, pretty sure under 30 days, but that was 2 years ago.
Update: called t-mobile. International data begins with activation. No wait period. |
While I was not positive, I wanted to the say that the International benefit started along with the service, but I see that another poster called in and confirmed it.
I am very impressed with T-Mobile had an issue in Germany and they were very proactive in wanting to fix the issue and even called me back so as not to cost my Brother In-Law the expense of long distance charges back to the USA. The agent actually said, please let me call you back, you should not have to pay for an issue on our end, now what number may I call you back at? He spent over 35 minutes on the phone with me, trouble shooting the issue and in the end discovered something configured improperly on his end, corrected it, and then called me on my mobile phone to ensure it was fixed and then gave me a bill credit, even though I was NOT upset and did not ask for any sort of compensation. He said that he felt wrong about it and wanted to do something for me, even though I did not ask for anything. |
