Buy a target, best buy, or Starbucks gift card at one if their locations and pay with cash. Tge exchange rate isn't the greatest but it works. Alternatively get a prepaid visa card bought with cash.

I check every week or two, and always get the proxy message, otherwise.

Some VPN strictly prohibit downloading via torrentz. PIA fortunately is not one of them! ^^^
In my limited experiences, they also block VPN.

I continue to use torguard and tunnelbear in various forms (although across all my platforms) without issue.
TB is ios and macosx only, so iphone and ipad and mac, free and fee
whereas Torguard is across everything and configurable for other VPN clients.. bout 30$ a year

I haven't been able to find out if any of the VPNs play nice with anti/virus etc.
On my desktop and my travel laptop I have Win10, the laptop came with it and I did the upgrade on my desktop. On both of them I have Avast Premier less the password thing, Malwarebytes, & Super Anti-spyware Pro.
We travel quite a bit, and our next trip is to Africa. I would like to figure out something that will work for me before we leave in 2 months.
I appreciate and suggestions.

get coinbase.com on mobile app. exchange money from credit card for (fraction) of bitcoin... send bitcoin to address provided for payment.
takes all of a few minutes to do and once transacted completed you never have to think about it again

Torguard is one that I was looking at, also PIA and NordVPN.

if you're concerned with payment just buy a prepaid card at a supermarket with cash. I buy 100-200$ cards for things like this and other services where I want either privacy or not to use my CC.
