Hm. I've never noticed the one at Asoke, and I only noticed the ones on Luang Suan in the last few months. They are placed at the beginning and end of the block, and in one or two more spots along the way.
I know snatching, especially via motorbike, is not an uncommon problem elsewhere in the region (HCM and Manila come to mind), but I've never heard of any significant occurrences here. But, then again, reporting of anything that reflects badly on Thailand is rare… just curious if there was something specific that prompted those signs.
I can somewhat see it around the highly trafficked and touristed areas, but Luang Suan is not exactly the type of neighborhood I'd expect it, especially to such a degree as to warrant 6-8 of these signs along a ~2km one-way stretch with no cross traffic!

On December 8th, my wife and I walked from Centerpoint on Luang Suan down to Ploenchit and back, and neither of us saw/noticed the signs there.

They had this kind of sign along Rama 4 road at Silom for a long time. I remember seeing them when HSBC Thailand still had retail banking ops in Thailand so it was several years ago.

A railway from Thailand to Myanmar through Kanchanaburi has only been tried once before, but the project was halted in August, 1945.

2 small bombs in BKK shopping area
Police are describing the bombs as "homemade". No one seriously hurt. Bombs were on the BTS level just in front of the entrance to Siam Center. No one has taken credit. But given the CCTVs in the area you'd have to think they'll catch them.

This is scary... Why would someone do this? Political tensions over the impeachment, or the politics down south starting to bubble up to the city?
Maybe it was just targeting the transformers in some type of robbery attempt. Hope they lock those Maserati's up when they're in the showroom.

You're assuming the cameras are operational, not just for appearances, and that images are actually being recorded. All of which is frequently not the case, especially here. Almost guaranteed, though, they will "catch" somebody.
In any event, it appears to have been a very amateurish attempt. Probably a one-off, not tied to any particular agenda. Thankfully it was relatively minor.
