Hm. I've never noticed the one at Asoke, and I only noticed the ones on Luang Suan in the last few months. They are placed at the beginning and end of the block, and in one or two more spots along the way.
I understand about not noticing.
On December 8th, my wife and I walked from Centerpoint on Luang Suan down to Ploenchit and back, and neither of us saw/noticed the signs there.
