Q: Which routes have full flat seats in Royal Silk?
A: Only the Airbus A380-800, A350-900, Boeing 777-300ER, 787-8 and 787-9 feature full flat seats in Royal Silk. The A380 is used on the following routes: LHR, CDG, FRA, HKG, KIX and NRT.
The B777-300ER regularly serves these destinations: OSL, CPH, ARN, FRA, BRU, ZRH, VIE, SIN, PVG, PEK, MEL and BNE. It also regularly flies domestic runs to HKT and CNX.
Q: Which routes get the new 747 «suites»?
A: Any route which is scheduled to be operated by a Boeing 747 might see the new «suites», but some routes are more likely to get them (but not guaranteed). These routes are: MUC, HKG, HND and SYD. Flights to HKT are often operated by the them, although these flights are without First class service.
Q: What are the chances of ending up on one of the old Boeing 747s with recliner seats in Royal First and Silk?
A: 0 %. All Boeing 747s have been converted and feature full flat seats in Royal First and angle flat seats in Royal Silk. Every seat in Economy also features a PTV with AVOD and AC power (every two seats).
Q: To which destinations do TG offer Royal First?
A: LHR, CDG, FRA, MUC, HKG, KIX, NRT, HND and SYD. Flights to PEK and PVG have "seasonal" (rather occasional) F service.
Q: Which version of the Boeing 777 features Royal First?
A: None. TG leased a handful of Boeing 777-300ERs from Indian Jet Airways a few years ago, that had eight enclosed first class suites. These aircraft have been returned to Jet Airways and are no longer in the fleet.
Q: Which destinations are served by wifi enabled planes?
A: Airbus A380 on routes to LHR, CDG, FRA, HKG, KIX, NRT. A330 (Only the 33H-version) on routes to PER, TPE, PVG, HKG, KIX, ICN and other intra Asian routes. A350 on routes to MEL.

Finally just booked the online availability with the 11h connection. Although I'm now noticing that more than likely I'll be on the old 10 seat configuration since I'll be flying during the day. But still no better way to spend 40k miles!!!

actually for a day flight, I prefer very much the 10 seat configuration. the cabin looks more wide and open then with the cages, sorry suites; much easier to have some conversation and for the FA it is easier to recognize, if you would like to have something. for sitting the chairs are even more comfortable with the ottoman then the suites

Tried to select seats on the TG site, but got an error. Is this standard, meaning that I will have to call to get seat assignments? Or is it usually possible to do this on the TG site even for a UA award, meaning that I should try again?

Managed to book KIX-BKK-SYD round trip F on a UA award.

2E/F is best for a couple on the A380. for 747 you could also consider 1A/K, which are also close (not as close as E/F) but have more privacy

Edit: All taken care of by phone very quickly; refreshing not to be put on hold. 2E/F on all flights, with of course the caveat re possible aircraft changes.

Thank you; your advice is always much appreciated. I will call now. Yes, I've seen the comments on 1A/K, but we like to sit as close together as possible. Normally we would select the last row (3), but the lavatories seem awfully close, especially with the doors opening toward the cabin rather than the aisle.

Anyone have tips on best 'honeymoon' seat pairing to sit on the 77W? In particular, I wanted to know if the center bulkhead seats at the front of the cabin would have too much galley noise or not...since our flight departs in the middle of the night, the less noise, the better...

we flew in the window seats 12K and 14K outbound and also had no issues. 12K was not disturbed by galley light/noise.

as already said by the two other experienced fellow posters, not much noise from the galley for the front seats, even for bulkhead honeymoon seats 11E/F, they are even less exposed to the galley then 11B and J (I was just this month on a 11J and there was no Problem at all)

We're routed on TG 960 (BKK - ARN which hopefully sticks as the 77W though I know it's a ways off and TG) but I tend to prefer bulkhead if they have bigger footwells but otherwise sounds like 14 might be better.
