Cabin Retrofit status on TG's 747s

Just went on TGA on TG607 from HKG in whY - good screen, better than A380 under seat but blocked by IFE box leg room. My headphone jack wasn't connecting well and my neighbour's had something stuck in her's and couldn't plug in the headphones (32B)

Colleague reported TGK flow the day earlier was still without IFE in whY.

TGK will not be fitted with IFE in Y. The a/c is scheduled to leave the fleet in the near future.

Did you happen to check the F cabin? Can you confirm it's been retrofitted?

What about the 744 from BKK to HKG March 25, is that the retrofitted aircraft? I am travelling in J.

I'm making a booking for TG F in Dec. 2013, likely through FRA or LHR. Is it possible to predict if the 747 will have the new product?

I think the suites are not found on the 346s. I believe they are still the older, but not the oldest first class. This video shows those seats fairly well.
Thanks MikeLaw ^ your info was really helpful. I am fully booked now...F class awards all the way. Have reserved all our seats with TG as well. Now to decide on the food . So excited!

Glad to hear it and I hope you have a brilliant trip.

You might check here or here for some food discussions.

It is hard to know ,Thai seem to change the 744 routes all the time, I would guess that they would use the better 744's on the FRA route .

But who knows.

it is quite unimaginable to replace the current 77w by older 744, but as u said, who knows... i might go with oz then.

I called Thai and they confirmed that the 744 used on BKK - FRA in May would be the 3rd version. What does that mean? 7443? So it means the older one with ottoman, but not the suite-like right?
