Is this on the HND-BKK route? I saw on a TR recently that it was the old config. I was under the impression this route had it.

Take a peek at the aircraft that has been flying from HND-BKK:

I'm not sure how to quite interpret that.

Look at the aircraft listed, i.e HS-TGO, then compare it to the first page of aircraft and what they have, new or older:

Would people agree that seats 2A/K are the best options for a single pax on the 747 with the 9 F seat config? (thinkng the seats in row 1 are too close to each other and the seats in row 3 are less private)

many feel those are the better seat, even smaller AVOD screen.

no 180 degree flat bed on board 747, since their eads solstys seats (those on Airbus 380-800 and 777-300ER) are not authorized to be put on 747ers, by the seat maker.

So boogey,

Business Class question:
(Just to clarify as I am a Thai newbee)

I have 2 seats booked in Dec 2014 from MUC-BKK on flight 925. It is an "angled" lie flat at 170 degrees (which is fine with me) vs. "recliner" (which is what seat Guru shows/don't want) - I just want to clarify that it is an angled lie flat and NOT a recliner on that route.

I guess as a secondary question it appears all the 747 have removed the recliner seats in business, so as a whole I shouldn't worry about a recliner even if there is an equipment swap out.....am I correct?

Thanks for the help

Cabin Retrofit status on TG's 747s

No more "cradle/recliner 7442 in TG Fleet.

747-400 on TG is always angled lie flat, either minipods or evolys seat.

Hope this helps

I am flying in F on TG476 SYD-BKK, the 747 in December. I wrote to request seats 2E & F but got a reply that there is no row F if First. I got back the following configuration:

1A 1K
2A 2E 2K
3A 3E

So, of these, can someone please recommend the best seats for a couple? I'm thinking either 2A & E or 2E & K. Which side do the seats open toward?

I have a similar issue on the december 2014 MUC BKK flight TG 925 as well as on the subsequent 475 BKK to SYD. For the moment, they are on 10F and 9F 747's (but according to TG's pdf scheme, they would soon both be on the new 747 with 9F). I am travelling with partner and would therefore like to book the two seats together (3E and 3F). It seems that 3F and 3K are always blocked / occupied. That looks very much like the answer that was given by montacute above about "no F row". I've asked staff to look if that is the case on another day as well, because it looks that there are no F class tickets except ours that are sold on this flight yet... And indeed, it seems to be on another days as well... Any clue how to get 3E and 3F asigned? Provisionally, I have booked 1A and 1K on the 9F BKK SYD config and 2E and 2F on the 10F config MUC BKK

Or would this be a sign of another config to come ?

Thoughts are welcome, both on what it would mean and how to try and book two "partner" seats.

Looks like that is what TG has been flying:

As a couple I'd recommend 1A&K. They are close enough to have a conversation with your partner, yet you each have a window and great privacy compared to the rest of the cabin.

That's my personal preference only.

On a regular basis yes, however remember that you never know for sure with Thai roulette. I'd recommend making stats to see how well TG has been good/lucky with its planing lately.

Thanks very much. I like your reasoning.

9F with 7 seats?

but why call it a 9F configuration if on any single day I could search in KVS, the 3F and 3 K seat are "occupied" or otherwhise not bookable ("-").

And therefore back to the configuration as before...

1A 1K
2A 2E 2K
3A 3E

Does TG not allow anyone on these seats ? Are they missing or not working properly ?

Do they reserve them for their Royal Orchid VIPs ?
