Just booked Nov. 5 HKG-BKK in C. Looking forward to it. Why can't I pick seats on Thai website?

you might be able to, but I've never seen or used that function (I've looked). i just ring them and ask for a seat.

They offer seat selection online during booking (if you tick the right boxes)...but not after on the check booking page.

I have seen the SQ A 380 at KUL a few times , so I assumed these were familiarisation flights.

one quick question from a friend, who booked a A380 flight from Zuji, would he be able to contact Thai directly to choose the seat for the flight?

Just another update on the first A380 delivery flight: the latest revision of the press pack (v6.0!) advises that the flight number is TG8936, currently slated for departure from Toulouse on Friday Sept 28th at 4pm, arriving into Bangkok at 8.10 on Saturday Sept 29th.

Update: Thai has just handed out its A380 schedule here in Toulouse and it still lists BKK-HKG as ending Dec14, same as BKK-SIN.

New to the route map: Osaka from August 16, and (as reported yesterday) Sydney from September 16.
