Consolidated "php errors, bugs, problem, etc." thread
There is some major .... going down this morning :( Cannot like a post at all (gives an error), and now I can't even load some threads. I get the error: "ArgumentCountError: 5 arguments are required, 4 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127"
I'm honestly surprised I was able to post this. Today's update may need its own thread, lol. -J. |
Silver Fox, I see you were able to like my post. Posting this separately on purpose. Maybe the error is intermittent.
I still cannot load the Delta Forum Lounge thread at all, and instead receive the above error. I was able to like another post in a different forum and can still access that thread. -J. |

Right now I'm able to Like posts and access all those threads that were posted, although I definitely had problems earlier this morning (I was completely unable to post) and there are still some moderator/admin functions that are a little wonky. If still experiencing these issues, please copy/paste and answer the appropriate questions below. That goes for any new posters to this thread, as well.
Desktop or mobile? Reproduced in multiple browsers? Which do/don’t work (we at least need to know the initial browser)? Steps to reproduce the issue Reproduced on incognito mode/private window? When did this problem start? (If you're just confirming that you're also having the issue, we'll just need your device type and browser) |
I get the same error on this thread https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hawa...er-2022-a.html
PC using Chrome. |
So in this thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/34790543-post617.html if I try to like the post I get a popup "an error occurred", and this is what it looks like to me and the person that has already liked it is sort of greyed out:

(as linked a few posts posts up) causes ArgumentCountError: 7 arguments are required, 6 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127 Browser: Safari on iPad Steps to reproduce: just click the link when did it start: this morning. incognito: link works in incognito tab of Safari. Then if I log in, the error appears. Other browser tests: same behavior in Chrome and FF on Mac. When not logged in (tested on FF), link worked, but once logged in it failed. |

Same issue here with this thread:
Air Canada eUpgrade program (October 2020 onwards) [read wiki BEFORE asking question]ArgumentCountError: 7 arguments are required, 6 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127 Steps to reproduce. Just click on thread title or last post. Can see intermediate posts by clicking on their number, but not last page / last unread. Reproduced on incognito mode/private window? No issue when incognito, only when logged in. When did it start? Today 2022-11-28 |
So far I have noticed it on the Breadcrumbs thread in this tech forum. Also, the What I have been eating thread in Dining and I think a couple more that I can't remember.
ArgumentCountError: 7 arguments are required, 6 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127 This started today on both my phone and PC using Chrome Just now in the anti-vent thread: ArgumentCountError: 5 arguments are required, 4 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127 |
I saw two messages earlier that I think are new to me (could be wrong though)
Had just finished composing a reply and clicked submit and got TypeError: explode(): Argument #2 ($string) must be of type string, array given in ..../products/hotel- reviews/lib/class_hotel_reviews.php on line 470 attempting to go back to the thread to try again resulted at first in a CloudFlare error, then our old friend the database error (the one that has happened a lot in the past), then finally Error: Undefined constant "posts" in ..../includes/class_dm_threadpost.php(1653) eval()'d code on line 36 *EDIT: I missed the "8" of the "PHP 8" in the title and only realized it after a mention of the PHP upgrade in the Oct 24th thread. So this certainly explains the triggering event, although as usual one wishes this could have been tried out on a beta site first to work out the kinks before unleashing it in production. |
addendum: while composing the above post, I noticed that my editor had been reset to the basic editor (which I certainly did not do on my own, my usual setting is the full whatever editor that is the other option in that dropdown menu) which I'm guessing is also related to today's shenanigans

So I've been getting the error "ArgumentCountError: 7 arguments are required, 6 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127" all day on the thread https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...ravels-39.html - I can still access some other threads and fora OK but can't get onto that one. Have tried clearing cookies to no avail but if I try and open via Incognito it opens OK so it just seems to be when logged in that there's a bug?
|
This is a brand new error that I've been receiving anytime I click on "go to unread", "go to last", or select the last page manually (e.g. enter 99 in a 99 page thread).
ArgumentCountError: 5 arguments are required, 4 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127 |
I'm getting it on just one thread.
"ArgumentCountError: 5 arguments are required, 4 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127" https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/omni...ll-thread.html Desktop or mobile? Mobile Reproduced in multiple browsers? Which do/don’t work (we at least need to know the initial browser)? Firefox on Android tablet and Android phone Reproduced on incognito mode/private window? No When did this problem start? Approximately, 11:00 AM |
Hmm for some reason my 2nd post on the the thread seems to have been removed, but I was pointing out there are some issues with 'Post Quick Reply' appearing to hang (despite working in the background).

I am getting the same argument counter error on this page: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...dition-37.html
It's an issue on Chrome and Safari on Desktop, and Safari on mobile. It started immediately after I made a post to that thread. Before that it was fine. |

Not sure whether the alert has been sent However, it does appear we can change thread titles ourselves now. I'm not sure if this is intended, but I just did it in CommunityBuzz (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/comm...-3-2022-a.html) - either that, or the mods received my report and changed the title in under 90 seconds. (I swear this is not a shameless plug! :p) -J. |
Continuing problem/error:

I'm getting the same error in the Air Canada "The Forum Lounge Thread": https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/air-...ad-2022-a.html

Can't get to the last couple of pages of the who loves Costco Omni thread,
ArgumentCountError: 5 arguments are required, 4 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127 Also having problems with likes not working, in one case I got an error after hitting like, and now I can't get to that page in the Who loves Costco thread anymore. This is so ridiculous. ETA: quick reply just spinned, had to hit go advanced and then submit reply. ETA: Now I'm seeing 7 required, 6 given in the same place when trying to go page by page within the thread, can't get to the last 2 pages for me. ArgumentCountError: 7 arguments are required, 6 given in ..../includes/functions.php on line 3127 -David |
