Hi guys, I've asked Tech to take a look at Safari/Mac/iOS compatibility and stressed it's very high priority. I have no reason to believe that it's a content blocker, since we just use pop-ups to ask you to turn them off, not blank out your screen without telling you what's going on.
I am using ad-block with safari on my iMac and disabling/pausing ad-block allows the pages to load (and fwiw, without ads ) |

glad to hear this, but I'm experiencing the same thing on a MacBook using safari. if I 'reload without content blockers,' I get the page loaded, otherwise the entire site is blank.
while I'm at it, here's another voice saying 'the orange reply button is distracting and intrusive.' |

Hadn’t considered the ones at the bottom. I was referring to the ones in each post. Quote and Quick Reply.
Regardless, the lack of consistency will be confusing also for new users and color challenged I would expect. |

Tried restarting Safari and rebooting 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 inch running iOS 12.4. i can load the same page okay on Duckduck Go browser on same device. |

Thanks IBJoel, didn’t even notice the red dots...
Distinguishing by font difference is still desirable. |
Can someone please provide me with a screenshot of the blank page you get on Safari/Mac?

Appreciate the help and all the effort you are putting in! ^ |

"Reply" and "New Thread" buttons are now blue again (clear cache if still orange). and "Thread Closed" should appear red.

Hey guys, Mobile fonts should now be fixed. Looked good on my end, as well.

Anyone else find that the font difference between unread and read threads/forums seems to have changed significantly? Used to be bold for unread and regular text for read, now it seems like "100% bold for unread, 80% bold for read". Very hard to distinguish on mobile.

This is definitely an issue: there's not enough font distinction between read vs. unread on mobile devices. :td:
(It's fine on the desktop version. ^) |
MSPeconomist on the "New Posts" page, Forum Jump is above the articles. As always, refresh/clear cache if you do not see it right away.

After posting new message, thread reloads oldest messages
I have the forum set to show me the newest message in a thread. When I enter a thread, it shows correctly. When I post a message, it reloads the forum and shows me the oldest message.
Using full site, not mobile skin. Ipad, safari 12.4. |

Full site is completely broken in MobileSafari with an adblocker. Blank page. Clearing cache and resetting to the mobile site works.
Yes, I am a horrible person for using an adblocker. Except you guys suck in your ad vetting; I’m pretty sure that $1000 Amazon gift card or iPhone I allegedly won is a spam ad. I won’t remove adblockers if you guys allow spammy clickjacking ads in your ad network. Sorry not sorry. |

Secret Santa is not important - it is someone's game - Even if announcing it was important, there is no way that such an announcement is important for 2.5 months . It is a global announcement, so is intrusive on all pages and is set to be in place for time period Sep 2, 19 until Nov 23, 19 That is an announcement that has been set up for 83 days Either - there should be proper controls in place on announcements to (a) limit to things that are important and (b) limited to a sensible timefrane or should not be being intrusive |

Hi everyone, Safari+ABP should now be usable again. As always, clear/bypass your cache if it's not working right away.

I'm getting frequent reports from FF that
"A web page is slowing down your browser" -- hangs for 5-10-15 seconds and then clears. FF 69.0 W10 laptop cable ip no ad blocker or other browser helper These did not appear before yesterday Not seeing on any other web site, just FT Doing - quoting, posting replies, .... For now using the Simple Editor, have not revert back after yesterday editor issues |

For Chrome users like me, are we supposed to get these horrible orange buttons? Everything is blue and white still on Chrome AFAICT. Still have the posting-returning-to-last page issue, of course. :p |
full site seems to be working on iPhone now
just noticed that that the colors in the font color palette are different: the darker bright green (“Emerald”?) is gone, as are several variations of grey/silver ... I’m really curious as to the rationale behind putting resources toward changing something relatively innocuous (and it’s ok to just fess up if it was the summer intern project), but there are so many improvements to actual functionality and the UI that remain to be addressed |
I just looked on Safari and I still have the same blue and white buttons like I do on Chrome. What are people talking about with the orange buttons and yellow highlights?

The yellow highlights are highlighting announcement posts in a forum - for example, if you go to the main page of this Technical Support/Feedback forum, you should see there are two threads that are now highlighted yellow in the list. |

The "Reply" button was orange for a while today, but it was reported upthread that the tech folks have changed it back to blue. I can vouch that it was orange for a time and I didn't like it either. :)

I see the yellow highlights now both on Chrome and Safari. They aren't nearly as annoying as some are suggesting; they just seem superfluous. |

Site working now on my iPad and my MacBook, with blockers, and *really* appreciate the return to blue ‘reply’ button. Thank you!

I don't understand the point of the "Back to Subforum" button at the bottom of a thread, when clicking "Go" next to the "Forum Jump" drop-down seems to accomplish the exact same thing, no?

I was participating in a thread and somehow during the upgrade / maintenance window, something strange happened to the posts that were posted during a specific period of time.
See this thread (post number 857). Posts 841 - 855 are just gone. But I posted one of those and if I go to my user dashboard and click on "My Posts" and navigate to it, it loads a version of the thread that has those posts again (here's a direct link to one missing post). But every time I load it directly from subscribed threads they don't appear. Cache consistency problem? |
