Cleared cache. Logged out. Cleared cache again. Logged in. Still no dice on Edge.

Posting this from my Chroma iPhone app.

I've asked tech to look into Edge, specifically.

After posting, the system takes you back to the LAST page in a thread, instead of the FIRST.

Very annoying! Please fix.

Hey Rubin,

Are your settings set to "View Newest Posts First"? So the oldest posts are on the last page?

Not sure at all what you just asked.

Whenever I post, I am returned to the OLDEST page in every thread. I have to push FIRST to get back to the most recent.

I checked my settings, and it still is set to LINEAR--NEWEST POST as before.

Even on this, I was returned to the OLDEST posts in this thread. I am sure I will again when I SUBMIT REPLY again here.

OK, thank you. That answers my question. We are already working on it.

And I ended up on the 4th page again.

FWIW I have Chrome. Cleared cache.

This issue was reported upthread and is already being worked on.

I opened a tech ticket, it'll just take a moment. You had this functionality before, to submit a post that was just a quote of someone else? Was this useful?

I've observed some people do it, although I don't. It only matters if you want to respond with less than five characters.

However, I tried it earlier today to check whether I could post anything at all versus just the white box to add text being broken. It's curious that after the text box problem was fixed (and after dealing with the cached problem), the "functionality" that apparently remained missing was the way words in the quoted text no longer appear to be included in the count for the five character requirement.

Some people will quote a post with +1, a thumbs up or similar smilie, or yes. Now they must say +1000 or YES!!

:-::o:td::(^ should work too, but not just @:-) or :D.

+1

IBobi Sep 9, 2019 4:39 pm

^^^ IBJoel see above, the +1 works for me; please test with a non-admin account. Seems that functionality may have slightly changed with this update if you used to be able to quote and say nothing, and still have it post, and now you can't?

Dave Noble Sep 9, 2019 6:04 pm

There seem to be 2 negative changes
select and copy of text in threads doesn't seem to work
Also announcements have changed to a very annoying yelloe highlight - wouldn't be too bad if annoucnements were rare and covered only really important things
