Ads causing browser slowdowns and high CPU usage
For months i have been struggling visiting Flyertalk due to the constant ad redirects and loading of stalled ad pages. When it happens it freezes my browser and unable to take a screenshot - so i won't be sending any screen shots. Here is my configuration:
2017 MacBook Pro w/ 16GB memory
Browser = Chrome
Have installed ....... now in order to load this page. Will leave this in place for now.

Been getting some popup ads that try to get me to 'upgrade my adobe flash' and download what is likely a malicious javascript file. Will try to get a screenshot next time, but its force of habit to kill the window immediately.

And shortly after I posted above, the offending malicious ad came about. It redirects the FT page to another site and tries to download a java.js file which I assume is a virus or malicious code.

Maybe what youre actually saying is that you cant get high enough CPMs without using an ad network which also serves these kinds of screen-hijacking ad? If so, thats a business decision but its not a bug, its a feature of the ad network youre using.

If you have been experiencing this issue, please let us know if it is still occurring as of this post -- we believe we've managed to turn it off.
Thank you,

I'm sorry, I cant believe that this cannot be stopped entirely by Internet Brands. I worked for a major website which earned most of its money from ads. They never would have served an ad which hijacked the users browser. Content businesses which want to keep their readers and value their own sites reputation just dont allow their users to be shown such ads.

It's not one ad, it's the whole site. This site has essentially become unusable.

I have to use "the program which must not be named" to even access the site. Otherwise, almost immediately I get the Amazon scam ad.
