Yep. It stinks. This is just one of those issues that is very difficult to lick. I have no insights, but we can see from the fitful occasional email alert outputs that Dick has been trying to kick start this feature again.

Actually, it's over a year old.. I started it in August 2010, where I went several days with FT emails.

I tried the RSS through Yahoo, but I am not getting that either. Probably because of Yahoo and not FT - there are other RSS feeds I am not getting through Yahoo.

To the people who merged the thread, since the title is now "Now I'm not receiving any FT email": I receive daily digests of specific threads I am subscribed too, but not any daily digests of entire forums. So it is not that I am not receiving any email, just not receiving certain emails.

yes you can, feedmyinbox.com seems pretty popular, google search for "receive rss by email" for more.

but the problem is the google will only update the RSS feed at random intervals (usually a few hours inbetween updates).

so you wont be getting alerts as soon as new threads come out...

the only way to make sure you are seeing the latest threads is by opening google reader and going to the RSS feed, and pressing refresh at the top for force a refresh. thats the only way to make sure you have the latest updates without waiting for it to refresh itself.

so you can wait and get an email probably every few hours but if you want up-to-the-minute updates you need to visit the rss feed yourself and click refresh.

Not getting subscribed forums email
 

When I look at my subscriptions I am subscribed to a few forums, but haven't been getting the daily summary emails for a while.

I've checked through all my spam and I just can't find any messages.

What's up with that?
