And jackal, I understand the mods are going to be getting another dose about tamping down any issues between FT and MP at the upcoming meeting.

I believe it's IB obi as in Internet Brands OBI (a la Star Wars, but I could be wrong). The red color and IB are a giveaway that it's the administration team.

Spot-on, SFO 1K :)

jackal, you may not be as close to the bleeding edge - not FT's! - as some mods (or one I know).

And SFO 1K and IBobi, love it!

One other problem that might be related is that I cannot unsubscribe myself from threads. There are a couple of threads that I have tried several times to unsubscribe from, but they keep coming.

If I stop checking FT due to travel, I stop receiving emails.

I only ever receive 1 email per thread when there's a new post.... which is less than ideal. If there's a post that's nonsensical, I can read it in the email and don't need to visit the site. However, until I do (for that thread or another), I don't receive any email for that thread for any other new posts.

It's not ideal, but from an ads/page views/visits standpoint, I understand why.

That's interesting, Stimpy -- what exactly happens when you hit "unsubscribe to this thread"?

It all looks normal, yet I keep getting the updates.

The same has happened to me. At times I cannot unsubscribe myself from a thread; it says I've unsubscribed but when I check my subscriptions the thread I've tried to unsubscribe from is still listed.

Hi guys...to better assist you, can you please tell me what browser you used when you experienced this problem? I'll need this information in order to provide the IT guys with a little more background information before they can troubleshoot the problem you are experiencing. Thanks!

I'm using Chrome, but I really don't think this is a browser issue.

jackal Sep 12, 2011 8:38 pm

Guessing you guys are trying to work on it...because this is happening to me, too: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/techn...ng-coming.html

bworrell Sep 12, 2011 9:51 pm

I use IE and Firefox interchangeably... but what does this have to do with the browser? Is this really being worked on?

Received e-mail tonight, twice. Let's hop things are getting back to normal soon.

IBobi Sep 13, 2011 10:46 am

Please keep this thread updated on your experience with this issue, as we have been trying a new fix over the last day.

ajanian Sep 13, 2011 10:47 am

I started getting updates again last night.
