OK, I understand. It's everyone else's fault. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I'm such a dummy.

Not so my friend. Not so at all. As usual you basically vilify all others almost as demons and subversives who take issue with your constant evasive or non responses.

You indeed brand above any who ask you questions as "nuisances to the Community". You name above Flyertalkers quite erroneously and as having received time-outs for their actions. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

As a humble Flyertalker it is OK not to answer such questions. As a Candidate for an Election that is not such a great tactic. YOU (shamelessly) started this thread and YOU need to take responsibility for what has been raised here as a result of it.

So allow me ask again some of the points - Candidate avek.

*(1)* - Why is it that you even in the past week in the UA forum (as per referenced threads) deliberately post fiction and baloney and made-up nonsense, and when asked to offer some proof or evidence of it you basically accuse those asking of "attacking you"?

*(2)* - ClueByFour politely and carefully and at quite some expense of time outlined 15 threads on page 1 of this thread and asked for YOUR comments on why you posted what you did. He pointed about about half the referenced threads had been locked. He indeed listed EVERY UA thread you have posted to SINCE your recent "time-out" from UA. And asked you directly: "I'd like to know how this squares with FT's purpose or mission in your mind."

EXACTLY what real Candidates for any office get asked in the REAL world - that one day I really hope you join. However you side-stepped the questions and kept blaming all others for you OWN posts and OWN actions - it seems to me.

*(3)* - Why is it that you felt the IQ level of Flyertalkers was so low that you are offering to sell-out your integrity in a forlorn hope to get a couple of votes by offering NOT to post on the AA forum if you were elected?

If that is a clear admission your posts in the AA Forum contributed nothing as you do not fly AA, why did you not make the offer in the UA and DL forums etc where your trolling is just as unwelcome and controversial? Where your flying is also zero.

NJDavid summed this sad and pathetic attempt up to buy votes nicely in another thread and I agree 100% with him:

Pay me each week and we'll make sure no one busts your windows or sets fire to your store.

Well we've certainly hit a new low here on FT now.

</font>
Folks above have agreed this forlorn and demeaning gambit was "disgusting". NJDavid calls that tactic: "a new low here on FT".

Yet lets get this straight. It is all OUR fault right avek00 that YOU cheerfully posted such a sad thread as you just did ??????

You simply do not get it, you really do not. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

For your information NJDavid, along with Rudi and Catman purchased the Flyertalk Domain and gave it to Randy. Without those early pioneers there would BE no Flyertalk as we know it. I bet NJDavid is impressed to learn he has now become "a nuisance to the Community".

As adjudged by none other than the Gold Record holder in the event, no less. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I'm jealous-- his granade-tossing on the AA board makes that look like an actual, productive, meaningful, member.

NJDavid Aug 10, 2003 6:26 pm

Don't drag me into this! After five years here I'm sure that there are quite a few who would agree with the characterization of me as a nuisance to the Community. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I was merely pointing out my disdain for the idea that anyone would sell a vote, and in particular sell it in exchange for not breaking Flyertalk’s TOS – a standard that we should all reach without bargaining to do so.

Personally I find my beliefs to be in disagreement with the person in question almost 100% of the time, but even if I think he’s an immature idiot, I’ll still defend his right to post those opinions within the TOS. But it is important (to me anyway) to not use malice or stupidity as an explanation for some of these instances when immaturity is a much more plausible one.

In any case, avek00 is no more or less qualified to be “elected” to the sham Talkboard than anyone else. It’s his right to run. It’s my right not to vote for him. Actually, it’s my prerogative not to vote for him 50 times on the 50 e-mail address I could have registered and voted under since this “election” started. And, it was his right to vote for himself. If he’s done so at a clip of 5 times a day since August 1st, that’d be his 50 votes right there.

You’re all taking this stuff way too seriously. All that is except the planners of this “election”, they haven’t taken it seriously at all. Let’s follow that lead, shall we?

Wow, is it time for a IJAFIBB comment for all this?

... but FewMiles... does being JAFIBB make even THAT superfluous???

Well, some people think the "F" stands for flaming. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I can only conclude, based on the combination of a complete and utter refusal to answer the questions directly asked in this thread in conjunction with the candidate in question refusing to explain past actions instead preferring to attempt to shift blame to others for all transgressions that the candidate in question is in no way, shape, or form suitable for the talkboard.

Simply read the threads linked to in this thread. They speak for themselves. The refusal to address them is icing on the cake. I don't think I've seen such blatent attempts to duck an issue since the last election. I'd suggest that while it might fly in DC, it won't fly with the generally educated group that makes up the proverbial "body politic" here on FT.

I further conclude that IMHO, this candidacy itself is also, in fact, a troll.

While having little to do with the election process, I'd simply like to add this in the hopes that it gets thru: being a troll is not "controversial." It's detrimental to the the community. That's why the "Oz-Wing-Conspiracy" is constantly debunking myths and posting links to the truth. The sooner that sinks in, the better off the entire community will be.

What goes around comes around, after all.

This thread has to be a low in FT history. Never before have I seen so much hostility towards fellow members.

That strikes me a s being a bit hyperbolic-- how many "new lows" can we have?

Never???? If you have a couple of spare days to read them, let me email you a few 100 threads from the archives. That make this thread look like a pre-schooler back-slapping love-in. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

The bottom line is that the cause for most of the threads being locked down was not my postings but rather the INCESSANT ATTACKS BY A SELECT FEW. A review of the threads clearly indicates that it was the harrassment and flame baiting of posters like Ozstamps, OttoGraham, LastClass, and a few others which prompted the thread closures.</font>

Dang Damien, I'm offended that I'm not in this esteemed group.
