Getting to Paradise Island/Atlantis via bus from Cable Beach
The number 10 bus ($1.25) will take you to downtown; there is a stop just outside the Sheraton. Then the number 7 bus (additional fare) will bring you from downtown to the Paradise Island bridge. Then it's about a 20-25 min (YMMV) walk to Atlantis over the bridge. The view from the apex of the bridge is great! Busses stop running after 7 PM.

Review
Just had a one night stay there but it was enough for a short review that some might find useful:
Sheraton Nassau Beach resort review
Despite mostly favorable impressions, the $11.80 bellman fee for a bellman we never used really took the piss, as they say across the pond. That one fee left a *really* bad taste in my mouth. The rest of the experience was very nice. Taxi from the airport was $18 plus a dollar a bag (including small suitcases that you'd carry on the plane).

Hm... the bellaman fee is new since I was last there. We stayed for 10 days and didn't even know they HAD bellmen. I wrote a review earlier; bottom line was service needed big improvement. The resort fee is a joke, especially since they run out of towels daily without apology. Nice property; but still debating whether the irritants are worth it.

Just got back from an excellent stay. I was upgraded to a beautiful suite and service was excellent although you need to get used to the relaxed Bahmanian service so checkin / checkout takes time. I highly recommend this hotel although you will want to go over to the Atlantis and check it out as its pretty amazing. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM.

Did you at least utilize the bellmen?

Sorry if I missed this, but does this hotel offer free breakfast to Plats? There is a posting from March 2008 saying that there is no lounge, but that they were supposedly working on one. Any update?

Thanks. Does the hotel have a gym? If so, what's it like?

Stayed here last week and paid with my SPG Amex... but it shows up as a Radisson because it was formally under that brand.
So a lot of Starpoints gone to waste there it would seem!

Not so much. I've been pretty successful at getting American Express to fix these kinds of things, but I need your SPG account details and a short description of the issue, including the charges incurred to forward to their attention.

Just booked a stay there, July 24th to 26, on cash and points. A really good deal IMO. SPG rep on the phone told me about all the "hidden" fees and taxes right away.
Only annoying thing is that there was only a two double beds room available, and I wanted a King (travelling with my SO). Hopefully a king will be available between now and then.
However I can't seem to put a request on spg.com - not sure why. Maybe because it's a cash and points rez? Am I missing something?
