12 nights short of Lifetime Platinum, but still questioning my choice. NOTHING? Not even a few points or 1 suite upgrade per person? Come on. I love Starwood, but I expected more. Oh well, I will learn to NOT expect a thing, then maybe I'll be surprised next year.

Is there a re-qualification gift for achieving Gold/Plat from last year?

No requal gift is a slap in the face..and frankly pathetic considering at least half of the hotels I stay at have resorted to denying Plat suite upgrades even when base suites are available for purchase at check-in. With that added to SNAs going away, what are the benefits exactly? I let my Hyatt Diamond status lapse, but if not for the property footprint issue...oye!

They're not going away - they'll still exist, but Plat50s will get other options (TBD) at 50 nights if SNAs are less desired

Requalified last week (sad I know). Received an email earlier this week asking what requal gift I'd like.

Selections were: 10 suite nights, TSA precheck code, 4 uber rides (upto $25 ea), Amazon $100 GC, SPG Gold to gift, and SPG donatio to UNICEF $100.

All things considered - Not too shabby.

This isn't a "requal gift" in the same vein as what the thread was started on. It is your choice of benefits for having 50 elite qualifying nights this calendar year. You used to get 10 SNA's automatically when you hit this milestone. Now you can take your pick of benefits.

See this thread for more information.

I was platinum last year and will be just gold this year. Are there no annual elite requalification gifts in such circumstances?

I don't know of any program that rewards moving down a level.
