The SNA's are only for re-qualifying with 75 NIGHTS, is that correct? I'm about to get it again by stays, and I won't have 75 nights.
I remember the years when they gave us 50% off a points stay at Starwood hotels- THAT was the best gift I ever got. I sure hope there's a gift I can use this time. It makes sense to give us points off or money off stays as we'll still be spending $ at their hotels.
I guess we'll see.

...Without having any data it's impossible to know whether 25/35% off points was a good or a bad thing for SPG's finances, but personally, I think it could be considered as a nice marketing expense because it probably got people to try more upscale properties which could result in repeat business (I will come back to the hotel I'd stayed in for sure).
To *W's benefit it made me think a lot more about different ways to stay with them and really increased the satisfaction of that stay. Thus I agree that it was a good marketing expense for *W; we may both value $25 at $25 but that doesn't make much of dent for me in a $x,xxx folio. I bet I value *W points much more than they cost *W so that should be a much bigger win-win for both of us, and isn't that the point of marketing?

Maybe you can complain to their corporate customer service and make a big deal out of it so they can compensate you for their slackness.

Also, the current promo doesn't do anything for me. None of my stays meet the requirements. While I know that promotions don't always work for everyone, I think this one is really weak.

re qualify for SPG P gift in 2014
When I re-qualified for SPG P in 2013 I got to choose between Double SPG points for a month of my choice or 35% off any award. I choose the Double points then for a month of heavy SPG travel. I have since re-qulified in 2014 as well but NOT received such a mail.... Was that only in 2013? Anyone?
