Here's your answer:

hi folks,

could anyone elaborate on the actual 'VIP Benefits'?
Background: I'm heading to Vegas with my mom for her 70th birthday, any ideas for using the advertised perks?

Thanks,
David

you first need to link your SPG platinum account to your total reward account. this can be done online.

then you need to visit a total reward customer services center to get your VIP Access pass. I went to the one located at Caesar Palace. my VIP card was issued in 5 min.

I was also provided with a sheet that says:

" The VIP Access pass can be used at the following Las Vegas Total rewards locations:

Bally's, Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, Flamingo, Harrah's, The LINQ, Paris,
Planet Hollywood, and Rio

Show your VIP Access pass at participating locations that have Diamond priority service to receive preferred access:
Taxi Lines, Hotel Check-in, All pools, Restaurants and Buffets, Nightclubs,
Entertainment Venues, Showrooms. "

Enjoy Vegas

Note that to obtain your VIP Access card, unless something has recently changed, you need to go to the Total Rewards Center at Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood or The Cromwell. Those are the only three properties that can issue you your VIP Access credentials.

After reading this thread decided to try it out vs SLS.

Booked a room at Paris. Check in is at 2:00PM, if you want to check in earlier it's $22. Walked over to Planet Hollywood to get my VIP card, was painless. Had an expiration date in 12mo. Presuming I can get another card if I remain SPG Plat? Anyone know?

Upon returning to Paris, used Plat line, as regular line was a 20-30 min wait. It's already paying off!

The biggest benefit of this VIP card is straight to the front of the line access. On top of that you DON'T need to be staying at a Cesar's property to use VIP line access.

Was told by Total Reward desk other way to obtain VIP card is to spend $10k (within some timeframe) on their branded Visa card.

It'll make Vegas easier.

Now that my Hyatt Plat status no longer matches to M Life Gold--meaning I no longer will have cut the line access--I'll have to try this Caesars partnership out once I hit SPG Plat the next time I'm in Vegas

Hyatt will soon change but it hasn't changed yet. I matched in September and just completed a trip to Vegas. I have Hyatt Diamond and the Bellagio printed me a new card and it is an MLife Platinum with an expiration date of September 2018... I thought the two years was very generous.

I had a friend who matched just yesterday!

Just spent quite a bit of time looking through the forums and didn't see anything. Is there a way to see which Starwood Hotels can actually be booked with using Total Reward Credits? I know there is a list for Caesars; it just feels like every time I try to book any decent to above average Starwood Hotel on the Totalrewards/caesars website I receive the following message.

"We apologize but there are no available hotels for the dates selected. Please select another date and retry your selection."

Any one know of a list or of a way to see the blackout dates for certain hotels or anything of that nature?

Thanks!

I have never been able to locate a list of participating SPG hotels eligible for Reward Credit redemption.

Well, also on the website you can obviously try locations throughout the world but it appears as though a lot of the good ones don't even have any hotels available. Which I understand their are likely blackout dates but literally every date I tried wasn't available which made me think, why even have those locations/cities listed? Bait and Switch??

Now would be a great time to extend the partnership to include parking with the "VIP Access".
