I would not make a big effort for 50. As there is no guarantee of their acceptance then their value is significantly diminished. I had a pretty good upgrade success as a 25 stay plat in Europe and Asia.

A slow travel year - worked from home a lot (hi, family!). MR doesn't give me any incentive with LT PLT, so I managed to just hit 50 nights (with a marginally valuable final 2 night trip) at SPG. Bye bye Ambassador though.

I'm sitting at 22/32 right now (that includes 2 one night stays I already have booked this month). I just don't travel that much anymore.

I will certainly find those 3 stays, though. With a category 2 in Madison, a weekend night is only 3000 StarPoints....even the lowest level of PLT has been good to me.

I love the SNA's. I have cleared all of mine with the exception of St. Regis twice. Even my trip at the Moana this month cleared where I got a gorgeous room.

My favorite perk because unlike United RPUs/GPUs they have a high success rate.

Just hit Platinum at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf in SF. Horrible hotel (motel), but the rate was right.

platinum again!

made it! Sunday night at St. Regis Dana Pt. You could shoot a cannon through the halls, lobbies, we were alone in the spa and it was wonderful.
This also finished the bingo card for a stay at every brand in 2014.
11 years consecutive, 453 nights.
I love SPG. But I no longer have territory to travel, outside local SoCal, and my own heavenly bed is better. It is a struggle to keep the platinum momentum now, working on LT PLAT

Happy 2015!

My next stay on Christmas would (re)qualify me as Plat. I only lost out this year as Lifetime Gold was fine for some hotels. Anyway, I only need to requalify for 2 more years and 100 nights and I'll get Lifetime Plat.

Made it with 26 stays and 49 nights. The SNA thread has me thinking it's not worth going out of my way to make another night as my hotel travel is done for the year.

Hit exactly 100 nights at the Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta, which was an award stay.
