It appears you live in a Starwood hotel!

Maybe emikelaw should try 365 days in a Starwood hotel. Maybe his account will be flagged as GrandMaster Elite!

Just got there last night at the luxurious 4pts Midtown Times Square. Existing plat status saved me from getting walked at midnight like the unlucky guy in front of me

39 Stays, 60 Nights. Think it's worth going for the 75 night level?

Will hit my 25th stay on Dec 1. Currently booked to finish with 48 nights so may do a mattress run to hit 50.

Just hit 23 stays and 56 nights this year. I actually did some speculative mattress running in Q1 this year because of the nights promo (to hit 25 nights I think it was?). I'll have to go back and do the math to see if that was worth it since I ended up +6 nights...

After my stay in Munich next week I will be sitting at 46 nights. Despite having a further 22 nights in hotels for 2014 I couldn't be sure of getting the remaining nights at SPG properties so took the easy way out and applied for the SPG card to qualify me.

I've decided that I am not going to put business in the direction of properties that choose to skimp on Plat recognition ie Westin Berlin with the buy up to the buffet. Instead I will stay at the Hilton Berlin where Golds are better treated. Also am finding for a lot of European locations SPG options are too expensive ie Rome or they have properties that are not well reviewed ie Brussels or they do not have a presence ie. Oslo.

I'd be double double sure that your SPG Amex nights/stays will post in time.

Thanks for that reminder I had not considered the possibility there would be an issue. Once the card has been activated and first spend made I will call AMEX and change closing date to ensure credits post in 2014.

53 nights on 25 stays (qualified Nov 16). Already have 20 nights locked in for Jan 2015, so maybe I make a run for Plat75 in 2015.
