Way to take last year's great promo and make it 50% shittier. Seriously?
Between points devaluation, lack of upgrades, the number of emails I have to send to get my 500 point platinum amenities to post and ridiculously overinflated category levels, you're about to lose this Platinum.

To echo many other posts:
• not a great promo
• will not influence my stays at SPG
• 3 nights would have been a good promo/3 stays just makes for a weak promo
• SPG should really consider getting new promo people
• Hilton is starting to sound better all the time

It's an okay promo to me, it would be much better if it's 3 nights instead of 3 stays. The redemption period is great.

Thanks for the promo.
Not sure about the relevance of "stays", surely "nights" is more important. Staying one night does not have the same benefit for SPG as staying 2 weeks, but both classify as one stay.
Anyway, looking forward to the Regis Singapore again ::-):

FWIW, last time a similar promotion was run requiring two stays (IIRC), it was enough incentive for me to book exclusively at SPG properties while it was running. I booked quite a few more stays than I would have otherwise.
This time - three stays == 1 weekend night, not quite enough of an incentive for me to do that again. It's decent, but bringing back a recent promotion and reducing its value so much is certainly gonna get noticed by travelers like myself.
Still have much love for SPG. Just not gonna see as much of you as I did during the last iteration of this promotion.

Thanks all the same, SPG .
Lets hope we see double stays in the next promo period. Thats the best by far ^.

One thing that comes to my mind would be if one were going make the needed Plat renewal nights/stays already, doubling them doesn't necessarily do much. But bonus points or free nights, those would probably be much more useful.
With that said, I've liked how *wood has mixed promos up throughout the year (or let us choose which promo we want). ^ There is just no way they can have a promo that is perfect for everyone. The next best thing may be to have a multiple promos that mix up the benefits, thus at least getting some benefit to most everyone.

I can answer why I do not like double stay promotions. I do not have any flexibility in terms of where I stay for business -- I am at Starwood and I am there 25+ stays. So what is the benefit of giving me more "stays"? Points and nights are what I want, but since I am "captive" I am not exactly the person that Starwood needs to target since I will be there no matter what.
