I submitted Oct 7 and received a confirmation email, but 28 days now with no response... hopefully it will come soon!

I had no answer for three weeks, so I submitted a customer request on the website asking when my status would be processed ... I got a response the next day saying (best as I can understand the Portugese) "To get the status match, please send a copy of your other airline frequent flyer card along with your name and Amigo no"... which is what I did three weeks ago. Anyway, have resubmitted, await response...

Does anyone know what the equivalent match is for United?

33 days for me and no match. I resent my request in Portuguese. Hopefully that helps.

I'm just wondering what, if any difference, there would be flying United. Do we board with or before Zone 1?

You get access to United Clubs and/or other *A lounges + additional luggage allowance. Haven't flown UA, so dunno how their boarding process works, but on LH you get to board with biz pax.
