Either way, that how Southwest always works. Or, are we missing some details?

This doesn't make much sense to me as I have a dummy booking on 5/24 and 5/30 and I can't change either for free

Maybe they have gotten smarter and only allow people to change flights that actually have a change - vs. EVERYONE

I think the poster may have meant that he/she booked another booking at the end of april to move his/her dates to the end of may, and then cancelled the original booking.

Can confirm that new bookings within the window are available for change.

I was able to change my April dummy flights to the dates I wanted and then cancel the same exact flights which were booked for more points so it's working as it has for flights within certain dates.

My guess is flights booked for 5/24 and forward are not available to change yet.

If you live in airports like MIA (or use MIA as your home airport), then they are available to change until EOS

It's back. Not sure of date range, but it worked for April 12. I was able to change a flight from that date to March 14.

My 5/8 flight was available for change today (I just booked this flight yesterday) but my 5/24 flight was not...........I think they bumped the window up a few weeks.

I'm not seeing any flights available for change. Maybe it's only for flights that have been changed now, or ones on MAX planes or something?

Looks like they closed it. I was able to do free changes this morning up until about 10:30 am EST. Hopefully it reopens again. Last month it stopped for a day or 2, turned back on and then off in a day or 2. Then it's a month long wait until about the 26th or so when they announce the bulk schedule changes
