Information about earning/transferring points to Southwest Airlines®: Points earned during a billing cycle will be automatically transferred to Southwest Airlines after the end of each billing cycle. Points expiration: The points transferred to your Rapid Rewards account won’t expire as long as your card account is open or you have flight-earning or Southwest Airlines partner-earning activity at least once every 24 months. Does CP effectively grant A List Preferred status as well or do I still need to hit those point/segment requirements to get the early boarding and point accrual bonuses?

I'm guessing at a minimum its gotta be after the first billing cycle closes and points post as they normally do (I forget the exact lag, 5 to 10 days?, but its well defined). Otherwise how would WN know? Of course the "up to" language is standard in any promotional T&C and is rarely relevant to the actual processing.

Anybody get a match with this offer? I applied for a Business card a week before the offer was available. Normally Chase will match a later offer, but it doesn't seem to be the case this time.

I'm at 5/24 and got denied even with credit score of 800+. The 5th card was opened in November 2015 and the promo ends November 30th, which at first glance seems like an unhappy combination, although if I apply again at the end of November and call reconsideration in December, I wonder if that still qualifies for the promo.

My husband took one for the team. He was denied. He has a superb credit rating but is well above 5/24, albeit not with Chase cards. It's not a surprise and yet it is, given that his Southwest account is pushing the credit card offer. I had hoped that Southwest pushed on Chase to loosen their guidelines for this promo. Not.

Got this too when I applied last week. I got a letter in a few days saying that they are granting me the card but readjusting the credit line among the 3 other cards I have.
I now have the card.

I got my explanation letter today. Turns out they lowered the CL on my Mileage Plus Visa to grant me this card. I still don’t have the card in hand. Also said they based it in a pull from Experian though I swear I saw a double pull. Need to check again

Yes I got a double but it was on the same day, so I guess that still counts as one right?

Anyone have some input on which is easier to get approved for - personal or business? I've already got a sole proprietorship Ink card. I certainly prefer the 60k bonus on the business rather than the 40k personal.

Stumbled across this promo in a Facebook ad. Already got a CP for this year on the 2016 CA promo. Just got the Chase card so now I get a CP for another year?! This is crazy. They must really be desperate for CA business. They have won me over during this past year though. Love their flexibility with changing flights without penalty.

Has anyone received their CP yet under this promo? I made my first purchase around 4 weeks ago (targeted promo) and no CP yet.
