Any reason thoughts on best lounge? Flying Korean to ICN in Prestige. Doesn't look like great Skyteam options in HKG. Even the Skyteam website is broken and not listing out available lounges

Well then your only options are KE and CI lounges. Both have issues. Both dont have showers or toilets inside. CI is open all day and night until 11/12pm.
Food options about the same. Decor is probably worse in the KE lounge unless its been updated. But they do have a little more western food with sandwiches.CI will be all Chinese food apart from bakery items. More computers in CI and probably a little bigger at CI.
So if i had to pick i would just put CI lounge ahead but not by much this is for the business class section.

Well its best to go in with low expectations so your not disappointed anyway, think of it as being slightly better than mainland Chinese or USA domestic lounges. If you dont mind not having any windows then its not that bad and the seats in CI are more comfortable and cleaner. But its world apart from lounges like Cathay which has like... 5 lounges in hk?

Yeah thats about right.. I am very careful about my own opinion as people may think differently. But yeah KE probably is the least preferable. Premium plaza would be quite nice if you did get the invite.

I didn't know Virgin is part of SkyTeam? I haven't flown with SkyTeam status for the past couple of years (just regained Gold a couple of months ago) so I could be wrong.
I did get into the Virgin Clubhouse once, forgot what I was flying on, but it wasn't Virgin. Anyway, it's a half-open-air lounge and the interior is rather nice. Food variety and taste was quite decent.

I visited the Virgin lounge in HKG about a year ago when I was flying EVA to Taipei. EVA had already joined the Star Alliance but they were still using the Virgin lounge.
Decent decor, semi-open area as mentioned, and staff that wait on you for drinks and some of the food (you are given a menu which you can order off of, if you choose).
It wasn't crowded when I was there but if it was, I could imagine getting a waitperson's attention might be difficult.
You can also sit at the bar and order from there.
