Status - Gold (although the agent did suggest I "contact customer service" and ask for higher status, whatever that entails)
Reserved - MB A-class (ILAR)
Received - MB C-class C180 (FDAR) 20EUR/day
Was offered XC40 for free, or a C-class for 20 EUR/day. Took the C-class because the XC40 was utterly lethargic on the motorway the last time, and just seemed inefficient.
The C180 was nice, but felt underpowered. MBUX is still a mess, but at least this MB had Carplay activated and didn't ask to pay for it. But being a MB, it did for ACC activation. Washer fluid reservoir was empty, presumably because the notification of this is buried in MBUX.
Apparently POZ (and presumably most Eurorent locations) have phased out 2-series, which is a shame, and replaced them with Peugeots

I have gotten nothing but awful experiences as a Diamond they lost my booking at AMS and they tried to charge me for a class above Id reserved and confirmed online. I told them politely that Id take the car but wont pay 50EUR/day for the privilege. After a very rapid back office visit the desk agent gave me the paperwork for a 5 series wagon.
Curious how itll go at SFO today.

Reserved - Economy Estate - Peugeot 308 SW (CWMR)
Offered - Citroen C3 Aircross (CFMR), Volvo XC60 (PFAR) for 50EUR p/d
Received - Citroen C3 Aircross (CFMR)
They did not have the estate car, so they offered me the Citroen instead. They tried to charge me 30EUR p/d because they didn't have the class I reserved. I mentioned that it is not my fault then the agent removed the surcharge and when I pointed out that as a platinum member should get an upgrade he said the Citroen was the upgrade...
When I went back to the counter to report existing, non recorded damage they tried to say they are closed an hour before the official closing time but the agent came back to the counter eventually.
After providing feedback via the automated email, the station manager apologised and gave me a 15% discount on the original booking. No issues on return.

Booked: BMW X5
Received: BMW X1
Location: LIH
When I arrived to the office I was told that there is no X5 available at the moment and they were only able to get me an X1. No discount provided. After returning the car and making a claim they refunded me $50 for downgrade.

Booked: BMW 4 Series Convertible
Received: BMW 430i Convertible

Got pretty worn BMW 430i with 50k miles on it. Infotainment screen was somehow damaged (probably by the sun) and was very hard to see anything on it.

Nice staff! I was offered the X6 initially and once I got to the pickup area there was a 740i the agent swapped me into.

Tomas, you are a more courageous man than I to book a mystery car when traveling with your family

Location: Zurich city center.
Booked: BMW 5 series limousine.
Received: BMW 5 series limousine (20k km and 6 months old). 520d x-drive M-sport. Pretty good spec - matrix headlights, driving assistant professional (self lane changing, camera navigation etc.), head up display, 360 camera (which came in very handy when returning the car!) and Harman Kardon audio. Managed 3.8l/100km on the way back from Ischgl 25 fuel round trip and the car was showing 1500km fuel range when we returned it.
Disappointed that I didn't get an upgrade but was impressed with the car.
Note for others - the parking garage where you return the car is very old and thus very tight/hard to manoeuvre around the ramps. There wasn't much clearance. The Sixt parking is on level 7/8. Take your time when you're returning.
Thanks!
