Why not reroute your flights to BKK anyway with-better meals and a 744 a day.

Fairly recently. Note its only some of the AKL-SYD and SYD-AKL flights, others not codeshared, which is odd as being marketed as use SQ to visit both Australia & NZ in the one trip with the codeshare filling the open-jaw.

I think they are deploying the aircraft on this route as they have to compete with Qantas/BA as they use singapore as a stopover between Australia & Europe. Seems Emirates will deploy them on the Australia-Dubai route as well. [Please tell me if i'm wrong]

Airbus is planning a 3 to 6 months delay in the A-380 deliveries to the different airlines. This is what was reported in the news this morning.
I guess they will have to pay a penalty to the airlines for every single aircraft they have ordered.
So this means we will have to wait a lot longer than we thought to be able to fly on the SQ A-380.

Not in the KrisShop as I recalled, which usually scale at 1:400.
The VP said that this gift for me should make me be the first to have the A380 model (my guess would be the first to have it in Canada) which I really appreciate his thoughtfullness ...
