Frankly, I don’t get it. There’s a great waste of space.

EY may be cavernous, but at least the colour scheme and cabin are stunning. This is just bland.

Looks like EK’s reveal will be the most anticipated now.
I couldn't agree more. Here's hoping that these photos are fake.

Well, from a Feng Shui perspective at least it makes a lot of sense to be facing the door.

Unlikely fake. This should be the real thing. The carpet is wrapped with plastic, ready for the unveil.

Personally I think it looks fantastic. I've flown in the EY apartment a few times and this looks like a better use of space to me.

We'll have to wait and see the real thing to judge of course.

Underwhelmed at first glance.

As noted, the pictures are not from the same suite - one picture has a TV above the swivel chair and the other doesn't. Not sure if that's because they are mock-ups or just different suites are arranged in a different manner so not sure whether to take these as final or near final mock-ups (hopefully the latter).

Makes me actually hope that we don't get the new suites when we take our honeymoon suites flight on SQ 25 (JFK - FRA - SIN) next September.

I reckon it is showing that the bed can be folded into the wall, making it even more space....

First 2 seats wall on both rows seem could be lowered down to make double bed (similar to EY).

The most interesting change to J class according to this seat map would be that the centre pair of seats are close together, away from the aisle. The current J seats have the seats closer to the aisle and the console between them. I suppose the improvement would be that the passenger's head is away from the aisle while sleeping, thus less disturbance. Window pax are still near the aisle though.

Any architects/engineers on here that can help us interpret the design for the two spaces on both sides of the front stairwell? Are they lavatories? What are some of the features of the lav?

Yes. Looks to be like the LH A380 setup. One big one with a changing area, and then a smaller one on the other side.
