S$250,000 per year income. I'm shy of that, but will likely apply anyway. ;)

Income requirement I think it's $125,000 per annum. You can convert to both Asia Miles & KrisFlyer. I only keen on the 45000 bonus miles, not interested in the immigration fast track.

Referring to the mailer I received, it says min income S$250,000 per annum. And seems the 45,000 miles is a deal solely with Asia Miles because you're asked to provide your Asia Miles (no space to select Krisflyer) number on the form.
http://www.hsbc.com.sg/1/PA_1_4_S5/c...df/mileage.pdf If you are not ready to transfer the miles, just leave it blank. Subsequently, when you are ready, you can choose to enrol to transfer to either KF or AM or both. |

You can use Jet Quay private terminal at Changi. The mailer lists the following airports in Asia for immigration fast-track:
Bali, Bangkok, Delhi, HCMC, Jakarta, KL, Seoul, "and more". (Their words, not mine) Also, you cannot use JetQuay services if you are flying out on any UA/DL metal flights. Budget flights are excluded as well but hopefully this might change once they are moved from BT to T2. |

S$25,000 annual spend threshold for DBS Altitude Visa fee waiver
I understand the annual fee will be automatically waived if cardmember's past 12 month spend is S$25,000 or more. Do bill payments via AXS machines count towards that amount? Or does it refer only to purchases at retailers?
I've tried combing through DBS' terms and conditions on its website, and can't find the answer. And several calls to their CC helpline didn't produce a confident response... in fact, in one call after hearing some sweet Philipino lady go on and on that "normally, one would use an ATM card to pay bills" - I had to actually pause and "educate" her that a DBS credit card CAN actually be used at an AXS machine! :) |

Not sure why HKG is not on the list!

They've dropped it to S$120K recently.
Also Manila. I have a booking there for this Sunday. They use www.yqnow.com for the service, so I assume its pretty much every Asian airport served by them. |

I scheduled the service last week at short notice. The limo to Changi worked out fine. But on the other end there was nobody to meet me at BKK. I'm assuming the plane being late and me being one of the first off contributed to this. I tried the number they said to contact and it wasn't valid. I emailed HSBC and complained and have heard nothing. Very disappointed.
I was told the buggy service should be back. This means the service operator should change back to BFS. I have no chance to verify as no plan to BKK for now. Who you send the email to? |

The service is not avail in hkg.
Why cannot use JetQuay while flying UA/DL? Because of this, their flights out of SIN cannot print BP when you do OLIC. So, JetQuay will also not able to process any check-in. |
Interesting experience with foreign currency fees
Used maybank horizon to Pay Cash+Miles with BD in the final rush before May 31.. 387 pounds for YQ+tax
A day later, I cancelled the ticket. BD refunded after 1 week. Didnt have to call up. After taking into accound the 25 GBP cancellation fee and currency fluctuation, Maybank has taken 50$ in currency admin fee both ways. Around 3% in the payment and another 3% on the charge back. I will be calling them. If no resolution, it is a complaint to MAS. The BD charge back is to be treated as a refund! Also btw, the notion that everybody has that Maybank has the lowest commission is crock. Tested that using a 1$ transaction over itunes minutes apart. Maybank was much higher than Amex plat. |

"fee Maybank is not allowed to keep as it is a refund" I don't find anything on maybank2u.com.sg that says Maybank will refund the fee in refund case. Generally it is not the case http://www.nbnz.co.nz/personal/documents/visadebittermsandconditions.pdf#page=17 "In the case of refunds, the currency conversion charge applied to the original debit transaction is not refunded." |
