Finally, I'm trying to go for China Eastern Platinum. I see Delta is Skyteam, that means it will honor China Eastern membership number?

Thanks in advance
TPE-SEA will be in an A350-900, which is the best D1 seat. I would avoid the back mini-cabin if it is a 35H layout because folks have reported that you can get ignored back there. There is more info in the A350-900 fleet thread. I doubt SEA-BOS is on D1/widebody equipment. This will likely be a domestic first class seat. I think the main issues are on A321neo with the bulkhead having minimal legroom. $4K round trip is a very cheap D1 price, so I would grab that.

Yep, SEA-BOS is just a domestic First Class route on the A321neo with regular recliner seats. Delta's "business class" product for both international and domestic will be marketed as "Delta One". There are only a handful of domestic Delta One routes and SEA-BOS is not among them.

Booking a ticket using a $70 credit and cash for the rest. If cancelling within the initial 24 hour period, is it a cash refund for the cash portion and the credit goes back to a credit? Or does it all become a credit?

It's at most the first (cash and a $70 credit). If the credit was from a ticket that was canceled, it's also possible that it's treated as a change of an earlier booking, in which case the 24 hour rule might not even apply.

The credit is a seat upgrade that got refunded when the connection was missed.

I woke up February 1st to a Delta email congradulating me on Gold status via status match (email copied below). I confirmed in-app/delta.com I now have Delta Gold status, and even got upgraded to comfort on my flight yesterday Feb 1st.

However:
- I never asked for a status match in the last few months
- I didn't even have enough MQD in 2025 for silver status, let alone gold.
- I actually had received a gold status match for 90 days in May 2025, but wasn't successful at finishing the challenge so went back to Member status in August 2025. This should've made me ineligible for any status matches recently since its less than three years.

It’s time to celebrate! Welcome to Gold Medallion Status, FirstName. You’ve successfully completed your Status Match and earned more time to elevate your experience through the airport and in the sky.
What is going on here? Just be happy for the glitch or is delta handing out free status again?

Been around for a while but this seems like a newbie question.

No service agents in the Sky Clubs anymore?

Was in the LAX SC last night at around 8pm and had a question for a SC service agent (app claimed “DELAYED” but also showed scheduled departure time). But no agent was present. Just a big screen behind with the words “HOW CAN WE HELP?” and the urging to scan a QR code to deal with likely a virtual agent.

Is this normal? Is it the new normal?

The AI agent was unhelpful. Learned on my own the flight did in fact depart as scheduled.

I passed through the SC from the D1 Lounge last Friday in LAX and there was an agent at the desk

Some SCs were reported to try having roving customer service agents who would come to the customer following some sort of list that might be generated by the QR code. I don't know whether this experiment is still continuing.

This is a bug in the app and happens when the estimated arrival time is more than 14 minutes past the scheduled arrival time (typically due to headwinds, weather, etc.). The app sees the flight arrival as "delayed" and starts to interpret it that way, but you have to look closely to see the departure time is still on schedule. On more than a few occasions when this has happened, I have seen a GA making repeated announcements to concerned pax that the flight is in fact on schedule.

How much does DL care about nested ticketing?

I have a ticket YVR-CDG RT on AF metal (booked thru DL with GUCs applied). I'd like to wrap this with SEA-YVR RT on DL. No bags, shouldn't have any requirement to thru-check or interline in either direction.

I'm not circumventing any back-to-back or end-on-end restrictions as far as I know. I could also book the positioning segments as oneways if that makes any difference.

Nesting alone is not an issue. It's only when you make repeated short-duration trips to same destination that do not normally meet roundtrip fare min-stay requirements and thus don't qualify for cheaper roundtrip fares and nest roundtrip bookings in the opposite direction to qualify for them. So if you regularly travel AAA-BBB Sun-Thu, you could book a roundtrip from AAA-BBB with a return the Thursday of following week, and then nest a BBB-AAA Thu-Sun roundtrip inside that and accomplish the same thing as two consective AAA-BBB Sun-Thu roundtrips, but qualify for cheaper Sat night stay roundtrip fares. But you'd generally need to make many such bookings before you'd show up on an airline's radar.

I did something similar a few times last year as a result of the D1 award flash sale (domestic positioning flights booked separately with cash). I did not have any issues, except the D1 lounge entry system by default "saw" the domestic ticket and (correctly) denied access until I presented my D1 BP.
